ESPN Dolphins blogger James Walker reports that re-signing free agent FS Chris Clemons "isn't a priority."

Chris Clemons
, is not a priority for the Dolphins. Miami would like a more dynamic player to pair with Reshad Jones next season. The Dolphins might be able to find one via the draft or free agency. Clemons is not a game-changer. He's just average. So the Dolphins will not rush to sign Clemons, and won’t lose any sleep if he finds a job elsewhere.

As long as we can lock up Grimes and bring in a LT in FA, I love the fact that Hickey is playing hardball with everyone else. I anticipate us signing more team-friendly deals this offseason, regardless or if they are from resignings or new talent coming in. Another 3-4 weeks and we should have some excitement back on the boards!!!

OH dammit. this has already been posted. Mods, please merge for me (sorry).

They also want to see the market on him. I look for them to draft a FS and bring Clemons back for a 2-3 year contract at a modest price for a starter. If he finds something else good for him as I think Miami could find a replacement without breaking the bank.

good point. I think this approach is great for everyone but Grimes.

Agree 100%. Grimes is the ONLY pending FA I don't let his the market. Get him signed or tag him, all others let's see what they are worth and if I lost any of them...oh well...

Too many big money concerns to make him a priority. Need all new OL, New Grimes back, and need 1 of the DT resigned. I like clemons but not having him wont make or break the season

Wow this is really stating the obvious we all knew he was never going to be resigned. That's top notch reporting on his part. LOL

I like Bucannan. He's a murderer back there. He hits like a train. An enforcer type. Not sure if we could get him in the third or would have to use a 2nd.
