With fins beating the jets today and the other Wildcard contenders losing today such as titans and chargers, it opened up things atleast temporarily. It seems more apparent that the slight front runner so far for the last wildcard spot are the ravens and unfortunately they have the tiebreaker on fins since they beat fins earlier this season. This tiebreaker is less effective if and when other teams should have the same record at end of season. But if fins and ravens both finish 9-7, ravens will get the last spot. The positive thing to me though is that the Ravens last three games, I can seriously see them losing 2 out of the three which would make them 8-8. Their offense is still not so good so and the patriots just know how manufacture wins and I can see the patriots beating ravens, and the game should be meaningful for pats too as they most likely will be within reach to keep homefield advantage for no 2 seed or still be within reach for homefield thoughout. So of course every game is important and I'd like fins to win all the rest of the games, but I don;t think its impossible for them to lose one out of the rest. Then again, you never know with miami. This is meaningless if fins lose more than one game for the post part or most likely. But this is Why I feel the steelers games is very important. As I feel fins have more more loss than can have and still get the wc because as previously stated. And I just don't know about fins chances of beating pats or what it will be like if they lose against steelers and have to win from there on out, vs beating steelers and as I'd like fins to beat pats, but if they don't beat pats. The fins will have a loss, but then close out vs bills and jets. We know bills are not a team for fins to look at lightly, but fins usually do get one win from the bills whether early or late in season. We;ll see of course, but things can shape up well if fins especially get a win next week against steelers. So I like the chances if winning next week, even though ravens won thanksgiving, as the WC race is less cluttered now.

Pittsburgh is the make-or-break game as far as I can see...

They are all Win or go home -- 10-6 is playoffs , 9-7 is playoffs with help

Yep..I mean yes all the rest of the gamea are important. But if fins lose against steelers, I'm not going to like fins getting the last WC, wherease, fins beating the steelers, I'll feel more optimistic of fins getting it seeing that I feel better with fins winning 2 out of three of the last games from there (lose against pats, but win last two against bills and jets). I feel fins will get that help to get last WC spot as long as fins take care of business and win last 3 out of 4, like I said, which I feel is more likely to happen for wins if they win a game they should win next week against steelers.

Yeah But since I really feel ravens will go 8-8 and lose against lions and patriots or bengals and patriots, I would love fins to go 10-6, but because of my feeling fins will lose against pats. I like the fins chances basically going 9-7 to get last WC if they beat steelers next week, whereas, not as sure of fins going 9-7 if they lose against steelers and then play the pats the following week, then fins will most likely go 8-8 to miss WC spot.

I agree with Jersey. We have to win all 4 games. This team is capable of beating the Patriots too. We just have to over come the refs in that game.

But man you just can't feel safe against the patriots. Look at what they are doing. They aren't looking good, but Brady and that offense can turn it on any moment. Look at the pats last two wins. They sure didn't look good being down against texans. But jeesh, I can't feel comfortable about miami even having a lead on pats, because as you see, a team like broncos with much more explosive offense couldn't keep lead when Brady was on. The game is never sealed against pats even when havign a decent lead.

Technically, even 10-6 only gets us in with help, but we are very likely to get that small amount of help. Jersey is right. Win football games, then worry about playoffs. Win 2 in a row here and we can talk.

The Broncos flat out choked that game away. Manning made a few unforced errors. The ball just always seems to bounce their (Pats) way in the 2nd half of games as well as getting some help from the officials. I still feel the Phins outplayed them up in Foxboro. There were some very questionable calls that went against the Phins and by some coincidence they came after the Pats failed to convert on 3rd down. Then there was ridiculous batting call against Vernon. The officials completely reversed the momentum in that game.
I think the Phins play a complete game at home and beat the Pats in 2 weeks. If they don't make the playoffs and only win one more game, I hope its against the Pats and keeps them from getting home field in the playoffs.

If we go 10-6, we have better conference record than most playoff teams. We have lost to 3 non-conference teams.

Would've been nice to take advantage of the Bills with Thad Lewis or a winless Tampa Bay team. Winning just one of those games would allow some breathing room down the stretch.

Yes,winning those games or winning the Ravens or Patriots games, the Dolphins would be playing for the Division. Still I believe 9 wins will get you into the Playoffs this year. Win 3 of the next 4 and the 6th seed is highly likely.

I wouldn't be surprised if Belicheat loses on purpose to Balt just to screw us up lol.
