Fire Linehan!!!!

Would someone tell linehan that he is not in minnesota anymore and we dont have cullpepper to throw the ball and randy to catch it. we are a run oriented team so why do we throw the ball more than twice as much as we run it. Get him out of this organization because he honestly does not know what he is doing. the last 2 games this is the comparison of plays.

Tampa Bay- 43 passes and 18 runs
Kansas City- 31 passes and 14 runs

None of this makes sense. ronnie had 95 yards on 8 carries and he probably could have got around 200 yards if we gave him the ball 20 to 25 times a game like we should. he has 17 carries in the last 2 games combined. and why are we throwing two passes in a row on a 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1 plays, run the ball and get the first down. that was a key possession and we run stupid plays like that. Linehan got to learn to use the players that he got. there is not one good reason to have gus throwing the ball taht many times. get the ball to ronnie and ricky and play smashmouth football and then we can pass off of the run with play action and stuff which would open alot more passes for gus. right now our playcalling is terrible and we might not win another game if we keep doing this.

2 years I've been looking at these boards and it's ALWAYS the same thing every week!!

If the 'Fins win: we have the best damn coaching stuff, the best players, the best cheerleaders, the best meal before the game, the best "you want it, you name it" etc..........

If the 'Fins lose: we should transfer to the NCAA...

Man...Taking a look at FinHeaven after a 'Fins defeat is depressive!!!
 
linehan has been stubborn in sticking to what he likes to do instead of going to our stenrgth which is the run. he shouldnt be fired, but he needs to play to our strength more

Don't tell Ronnie Brown that... he's been doing a nice job of running behind our line, when given a chance. Sure our O-Line is a weakness, but we can run more than what we're doing, especially with the talent we have at RB.

You have no clue what you are talking about. yea our offensive line is not the greatest in the world but ronnie averaged over 10 yards a carry today and got atleast 4 yards everytime he touched the ball. we are a running team. give the ball to the running backs. we dont thorw the ball 40 times a game. we dont have marino anymore. we have to really good running backs and we dont give them the ball . we lose the time of possession game everyogame because we pass so much. we only had the ball for 18 minutes in this game and the chiefs had it for 42 minutes. there is no excuse for the play calling. do you even watch any of the games because there is no way you can go without seeing these stupid mistakes if you do watch the games. ronnie was a beast today and broke tackles everytime he got it but we never gave it to him. Could you tell me one good reason to have gus throw the ball taht many times. maybe we should give the playcalling to saban and see how he does because i really dont like linehan.

okay, so our line isn't that great, and that's why we don't run. but our QB is ****ing horrible, so why do we pass? you scheme your offense to your talent, and we have two good runningbacks, a bad QB, and an average receiving corps. sounds like you gotta run the ball to me
 
I sure don't want to FIRE Linehan, but I agree that he's trying to jam the square peg in the round hole. Frerotte doesn't have the accuracy downfield to have the play-calling imbalance we're having. And we should be running WAY more screens and crossing routes to make some high-percentage completions, get the ball in the hands of our good athletes where they can RUN with the ball after the catch, and get Frerotte into a rhythm in which he can develop some confidence.

Once you get a big enough sample, conclusions can be drawn and the excuses carry much less weight. In 22 games dating to the start of the 2004 season, Scott Linehan's offenses have produced 520 rushing attempts and 771 passing attempts. That's nearly a 3/2 ratio. It's also down to 23.6 rushing attempts per game. Like I wrote a few days ago, that's losing football, folks.
 
Man you some of you people and these threads. What I have seen so far on some of these would lead us to fire Saban, Lienhan, Drop Gus, bench Brown, trade Madison... I mean what would we have left ? Cant run because we have been down the whole game, not too many teams run when they are behind. I agree that Gus isnt the answer, and should be backup so a young guy can get a shot. However how can people be asking for Sabans head already, Wansted gets how many years of chances ? Brown has hopefully shut up the critics, but you pessimistic fans seem to be lurking everywhere.

All I am saying is give them more of a shot, if we benched Brown when you guys were asking for his head what would we have now? Give the guys some time before you go on a witch hunt.
