Since i've seen this thread every year, thought maybe i'd gather some interest. Obviously the first play does not mean a whole lot and will most likely be a simple hand-off to ricky on a dive up the middle for 3 yards. But for the sake of argument my guess is a play action pass, deep post or fly to ted from beck, to let the fans and other teams know we mean business this season and this regime takes shots down the field!!! one can hope cant he?? heres to STRECHING THE DEFENSE!!

If Beck starts, then its a pretty safe bet that the first play will be a sack or a fumble if its a passing play. If its a run, then there is still a pretty good chance Beck fumbles the exchange.

LOL  So true. Looking forward to seeing Henne.

If Pennington starts tonight, your first play will be a two-yard dumpoff to Ronnie Brown.

Best to set a tone for the season because you're going to see a lot of it.

and if Chad Henne plays it's a guaranteed 78 yard touchdown pass?
