What up everybody.....long time lurker, but just new to the actual boards

Anyway, considering Keith Traylor seemed to be a one year fix in '05, do you think we'll go after someone in free agency (Grady Jackson, Chris Hovan) or do you think we'll let Manny Wright develop on the job next season?

I don't think DT is something we need to throw alot of money or a high pick at especially if we run more 3-4.

Welcome to the boards. If we can get someone else in free-agency without breaking the bank, we'll do it. We need depth there and Manny just isn't quite ready to be the cog we need in the middle. He still has some learning to do. I think Saban will use a middle or later round pick on a DT AND sign a cheaper free agent. I wouldn't rule out Traylor coming back for one more season. He would come cheap, he played well for us this season, and we have other pressing needs we'll be spending the bigger bucks on.

I honestly think Grady Jackson would be a nice additon to the DT rotation with Holliday, Wright and hopefully Vickerson. Plus, Carter plays some on the interior

If Traylor is gone then MIA would definitely need a nose tackle to run the 3-4...

I think Traylor returns and we pick up maybe J.Pepers and move K.Carter to T and possibly draft a DT with our 4th rd pick, but no additions through FA unless we can find solid talent cheap.

Ngata is nice but we have too many needs esp QB.
No qb is going to be around the 16 pick. Hopefully Ngata will be available.

OL would be a bigger need and Ngata is probably gone at 16.

how do suppose we get Julius Peppers??? We dont have one player we could trade straight up for him, and he is worth more than 16th overall. What makes you believe we can get him. Try to think realistically.

well we got wright, but we need another big beefy body... i dont know where we'll find it but i wouldn't be mad at ngata...

Someone is delusional :goof:

Maybe traylor could see some action as a backup let vickerson and manny wright battle for time and this figures to be an interesting rotation holiday would play more end on the 3-4 alongside with jason taylor
A later round pick with some 6-2 330 frame (IE traylor) could be interesting has I think both vickerons and wright are more fitted for the End position in the 3-4
