Probably the first and last time I’ll ever say this: I wouldn’t draft an Ohio State corner until the 4th round and then I’d be nervous.
 
Pinckney isn't in the draft this year, and even when he is next year, he won't be anywhere near the 3rd round unless he improves significantly.

He doesn't have the speed to play in space and misses way too many tackles.

We do nee some SERIOUS help on the Dline (Oline as well but that's a broken record). I wouldn't mind going Dline 1-2 like that. Build for the future.

Good call. Pinckney plays narrow. Tackle missing machine. All three of those guys looked excellent as freshmen but then the blemishes surfaced.

The three Canes defensive backs in this draft are all good players -- Johnson, Jackson and Redwine. Among them, Johnson is probably the safest but also the smallest and least upside. Redwine improved the most this year and has the long arms that many teams covet. Jackson had a quiet year. He probably should have turned pro last season when his stock was higher. But a good smooth player who needs to get more aggressive and believe in himself more. I think he is good value where he is rated now. Canes players tend to outplay their draft rating and I would expect that to pan out with at least 2 of those 3 guys.

I’d be absolutely thrilled with the first two picks!

The more I look Allen the more I think he is somehow ending up on the Fins. Possibly dominate player with position flexibility and at a desperate need position add in the BC connection.

The rest is just gravy.
