Five bold predictions for the Miami Dolphins in Week 5

I can see us trying to run more but not better unless we can hit some passes on top early. SF should load the box and dare us to throw on them. It'd be nice if we try different things like at least a couple of reverse(one a double reverse), more screen passes and a trick play somewhere. We're just not creative enough and we don't have the speed to go 40 to 50 yards in one play(unless Breida gets a chance) so we have to go 5 to 10 yards at a time which means you need to be flawless for 10 to 14 plays a drive in order to score.

Another thing we could do is run the wildcat a few times but do different things off it. Be creative for once would be nice.

And if any of those types of play fail the servers will crash and burn, haha.

lmao at Noah having his best game yet. He's been worse than any CB in recent memory so that's not saying a lot.

Wow, that's pretty brutal.

He hasn't been great, or even what I would call good, but context is important here.

He's very young, relatively inexperienced at the position, and he's going to take his lumps in this "baptism by fire" scenario.

Having said that, I think the experience he is getting this year is invaluable, and his possible upside is worth the investment.

I'll wait and see what we have midseason next year at least, before passing any type of judgement.

Out of curiosity, did you not like the pick in the first place, or you did, but with higher expectations?

Apparently, some want TT to start and will accept learning on the job. Other positions, not so much

There is a lot of inconsistentency in opinions. That's human nature, I guess.

Some ppl hate a player for the simple fact that they wanted someone else at that draft spot, and unless/until that player is "elite", it was a wasted pick in their opinion.

It's a convoluted system of judgement.

Other fans are just adament that any rd1 pick should step in, and be a top tier player day one.

I disagree, as there are a lot of shades of gray (grey) between black and white, but at least they are consistent.

Thats why I posed the question to @orpheus . To see where he was "coming from".

It was a bad pick, not that he will be a bad player per say. We didn't need another cornerback specially a project CB that was still green. I think that is why some people are harder on certain picks than others, specifically this one. Raekwon Davis seems to be another pick like that.

I think a lot of these posters come here just so they can let their id free.

That is a completely reasonable arguement.

That's not iggy's fault though, and bashing the individual player for that particular reality isn't fair, IMO.

Bash the front office for that? Fair enough......

Wait, what? We didn't need another corner as you say but yet Iggy beat out all but 2 of them to be the #3 corner, and he took over for one of the starters in game one when he got hurt. They ABSOLUTELY needed another corner, and guess what? They ABSOLUTELY need another corner next year too. There are 2 things on defense you can't have enough of, and that's pass rushers and corners. Miami runs a Nickle over 60% of the time so it's imperative to have three starting caliber corners. I believe Iggy will be fine. I wouldn't be shocked if he has a good game today playing where he was planned to plan.

Another "fair" point.

I can see both sides of your, and @illscriptures debate.

It's one thing to argue philosophy. To blame/ridicule the player, under the circumstances, is something else.

Miami always seems to be terrible at screen passes.

I think we'll see more of Breida today.
