Dolphins organized team activities continued this week. Practice was closed to the media, but the team made four players available to reporters.

The biggest news:

1. Dion Jordan, who will reportedly apply for reinstatement Wednesday after serving a year-plus suspension, would "definitely" be welcomed back to the locker room, defensive tackle Earl Mitchell said. How the Dolphins, with their four top defensive ends locked in, would use him remains to be seen. Perhaps a move to linebacker?

2. Adam Gase is a trash talker. And, as Mitchell and Byron Maxwell acknowledged, he "picks sides." Spoiler alert: It's not in favor of the defense. Even wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson gets into the act.

3. Maxwell -- like the Dolphins -- is hoping that he regains his 2014 form, and proves that his disappointing 2015 was an anomaly. Maxwell was part of Seattle's famed Legion of Boom secondary, and hopes that the Dolphins' young group of corners -- including Xavien Howard and Tony Lippett -- can replicate that magic.

4. Branden Albert is in great shape -- the best since his time in Kansas City. Albert said he's down to 313 pounds, and finally feels 100 percent after his major 2014 knee injury.

5. Jay Ajayi doesn't just want to be a starting running back. He wants to be a great. 'For me, I know that I want to be up there, when it gets down to it at the end of the season."

Good new across the board, thx for posting.

i salivate at the thought of a healthy-for-16-games branden albert, a top-tier-RB in Ajayi, a smothering secondary of Maxwell and Xavien Howard, any contribution from dion jordan, can the season get here now, please?

Yup, if all (or almost all) unknowns fall Miami's way, this could be an exciting and promising season. In that case, I'm with you. Sadly, I don't think almost all will fall Miami's way and even if they do, it will take a while for the OL and front 7 to gel, Howard and Lippert will have growing pains in the secondary, and Gase is a virgin HC. Even with fw injuries I expect travails the 1st 8 games. Not a 1-7 start, but the bumps will be there.

At least we don't have to look at that piece of s**t Phiblin and his candy azz coaching staff .

if albert stays healthy all year and plays well 2016 should not be his last season here

don't ever get rid of quality offensive linemen until their play or their health tells you different

Tunsil plays guard this year only. Even if Albert stays healthy and has another Pro-Bowl season I think we move on this offseason. I hope not, but that is what I expect.

Unless the writing is on the wall that their last good season just happened. Difficult to tell by performance, but I'll trust the coaches with that decision. I'd love to see a good year with Albert next to Tunsil mentoring him. What a great way to pass the torch.

history tells me Albert gets hurt again for a good part of the season. I believe if he does, this is a shake down year, and he moves to guard and eventually out of the organization
