Fix the OL and the rest will fall into place

I was too caught up in the game to pin-point exactly who was responsible for the
o-lines mistakes, but I know Wade Smith had problems. It also seemed like the right side of the line collapsed alot. Anybody know exactly what went wrong?

Leave it all to Wanny, it should only take him 8 more years to fix the o-line...in the mean time he'll draft a couple dozen more corners.

Ozzy rules!!

Yeah, 4 years of bad drafting and personnel decision........ah what the hey, throw some bad coaching in there too... ;)

we looked like the worst OL in the NFL tonight changes has to be made
I bet Gordon wishes he was still a ram instead of running behind this line

I think the o-line played the worst i had ever seen a dolphins o-line play and i have been watching since 1970. I haven't given up on our dolphins tho. Our line needs to practice together more and more, I don't realisticly see us going to the playoffs this year. And what worries me is that the defense will be another year older next season. As for Feeley, he also is a work in progress. It will take time i think we all knew this. I don't believe we should give up on him yet. The guy took a heck of a beating tonight yet at times he played ok and at times because of the non-blocking he played in a panic. inwhich i don't blame him I don't see us winning a lot of games this year but in knowing this i guess i can handle the season alittle better. I haven't given up on the Dolphins, its just hard to watch them play like this because i have never experience this kind of play.

The Dolphins just need to put a classified ad in the Herald or the Sentinel...WANTED OFFENSIVE LINEMAN FOR STRUGGLING NFL TEAM, CALL 305-555-5555 ASK FOR DAVE OR RICK

I think we need to put cotts and sleeping bags at the office for the ENTIRE OLINE. Those guys should eat sleep and crap at the office until they play decent.

o-line, o-line, o-line = oh no. The root of our problems is the o-line. Too much to ask with all the changes in personell this offseason to expect us to win games out of the gate. We will fix the problems and win later in the year when it matters.

how do u fix yhe problem other the cut all of them
The scheme needs to be changed. Just like Thiesmann was saying, we should have went max protect and let Chambers and Booker fly down and just throw it up to one of them. But, we kept lining up in that porous 3 WR set that OBVIOUSLY wasn't working. Maybe then AJ would have had more than .3 seconds to throw the ball.

I hear there a lot of Sumo Wrestlers out of work in Japan.Why not bring in a couple .Here is our SUMO OL ;

:fatman: :fatman: :fatman: :fatman: :fatman:

They are co-ordinated,will bow to the opponents before they pulverize them, and they will block out the sun so the opponents wont be able to see what the offense is doing and they wont comit penalties (If they do they will have to comit Hari-kare)

Our defense is good...
Special teams are fine (as long as brightful doesn't fumble)...
WRs/TEs are very solid...
RB is hard to say now, isn't fair to judge him when our OL blocks like this...
QB is obvisouly shaky, but given more time in the pocket, he will be better...
OL is terrible.

Once this is solved, we will be fine.
Well said. I've had way too many arguments about this. I always go back to...IT ALL STARTS UP FRONT. With better OLine play everyone plays better.

feeley has been effective wit time here is my solution. I say bring back nails possibly and have an o-line of

LT-Mac. LG-James. C-Seth. RG-Nails. RT-Carey.

What is even sadder is that the Panthers had to replace 4 out of 5 starters on their OL this year. That line struggled a bit versus the blitz of the Packers, but did well enough against the Chefs to get Foster over 150 yds and Jake time to pass.

Then consider that the Bengals brought in Fontenot (sp?) to play Center on the OL, TWO DAYS before the game with the Phins!! He did good enough to help them win too.

It is time to bring in some vets, even if only as a stopgap for this year, and get McIntosh and maybe Carey out there.
