I THINK I GOT THIS RIGHT...
So obviously the Fins-Jets game, assuming its flexed, moves to Sunday Night, which would mean we would have the conclusions of all the day games (duh)...
So, if the Patriots finish 2-0, and the Ravens finish 2-0 - ALL reasonable...
AND....
the Jets lose this week @ Seattle (Jets are 0-3 on the west coast, playing an improving Seattle team, plus Holmgren's last game in front of the home crowd)
The Jets would have absoloutely NOTHING to play for... They would be ELIMINATED from playoff contention
The Ravens finish 2-0 to win the wildcard (Colts get the other WC spot)
The Patriots finish 2-0... which means EVEN IF the Jets win @ home vs the Fins, the Patriots would get in the playoffs...
Mangini would be pissed that he'd probably be getting fired, Favre would already have his flight and his wrangler jeans packed for Mississippi BEFORE Sunday nights game :)
.........................................
Another scenario (Assuming Fins beat Chiefs this weekend)...
If Ravens go 0-2 and Patriots lose @ the Bills, regardless if the Fins win @ the Meadowlands, we'd still be guaranteed a playoff spot, #3 seed with a win @ Ny or 6 seed with a loss @ Ny, most likely playing them AGAIN in the first round of the playoffs back at the Meadowlands
.........................................
Even if Jets lose to Seattle, one would assume, okay NBC officials would go ahead and put another game on their flexed scheduling for week 17 but who?
Eagles-Cowboys? This game might not have any meaning... If Bucs beat Chargers and Atlanta beats Minnesota.. plus Eagles and Cowboys would have to obviously win this weekend... Eagles should beat the Redskins but Cowboys playing the Ravens, I'll be rooting for the Ravens
