I am starting to get a very bad feeling about this "coach" right now. Eric Mangini started off with the same type of arrogance with the Jets and look where he is now. I have maintained that the Dolphins could win 8 or 9 games THIS season if we got a good performance from the Offensive Line. Many Dolphin fans shared the same view. Trading Tunsil tells me these guys are hell bent on starting from ground zero. Which is totally unnecessary. This now makes the Rosen trade a very questionable move. Because if they are tanking for a QB in next year's draft, then they should not have traded for Rosen. There seems to be a lack of communication here between Flores and the front office. These coaches think the can do what Bill Belichick does and get similar results. it didn't work for Charley Weiss, it didn't work for Mangini (though he had brief success with the Jets), it didn't work for Josh McDaniel and it's not working out for Matt Patricia. I want to give him a chance before I start ripping him. I will know for sure by week 3. Gutting a unit which needed help the most was STUPID. Last year we had 2 nice young Tackles to build around in Ja 'wuan James an Leremy Tunsell. Today we have neither.

How long have we all been waiting to really rebuild? It sucks to trade Tunsil. I don't think many of us fans thought that would actually happen. That being said I wouldn't be at all surprised if drastic measures like this will finally lead to Miami breaking out of this 20 years of mediocrity. I'm on board with Flores at this point and I can only cross my fingers this franchise drafts well over the next few seasons at least.

Flores may not be Belichick, but he's following some of the same principles that have made BB the coach that he is. One of them being that BB doesn't overpay his tackles. That's something that Denver did big time with James. Tunsil is a very good LT. Is he the best in the game? That's what he's going to demand from the Texans very soon.

Actually I like Flores' confidence. He knows that it's going to be a tough season but he also knows that GM Chris Grier has now got the team fully loaded in terms of Draft picks and money to build for the future. This is a classic re-engineering plan being implemented. My impression is that Coach, GM and owner are all on board and in time we will see if it pays off.

The Texans coach is a desperate man.

He is a dead man walking and he knows it.

He mortgaged that Texans future.

He does not even have a long term contract to hold Tunsil beyond 2021.

This seams like an Adam Gase move.

Dolphins played the Texans like a fiddle.

FINALLY the Dolphins got it right.

$150 mill in cap space and 13 picks - which sets us up to be a serious PLAYAH moving forward.

WE ARE GONNA GET STACKED!!!!

It is all going to depend on what we do with the picks and cap space.

Will we know what to do with the players we will acquire or will we continue to misuse assets?

End of 2018 season: 2019 is going to be a rebuild year.

After Flores is hired: He was given 5 years guaranteed, instead of a 5th year option. Year one is the rebuild year.

After our high priced FA’s and QB left: I love that we aren’t overpaying for anyone. He’s making his mark on this team, let’s give him time.

After the draft: We have some pieces to build around, and we are stocked for a great 2020 offseason.

Today, after picking up 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder: He has until week 3 before I make my mind up. He seems arrogant

Why are people stuck with being happy about winning 8-9 games a season and lost in mediocrity each and every year? Tackles won’t win us a championship, it sure as hell didn’t do us any favors when Jake Long was here.

An O line can do well with 5 good to very good lineman not just one very expensive “elite” lineman. You get 5 good guys who can gel together and you have a line worth talking about.

Did you just compare Flores to Mangini?
