I love that sentence that coaches use to describe missed opportunities. I got to thinking today about realistically what are some of the problems this year and for me it goes back not only to some of our guys underachieving but really if you think about it, how many plays have we really left out on the field.

I can think of a few. The fumble by Brown into the endzone is one. Usually that is a sure TD for us. What about the 2 passes that Ginn didn't "finish" on. Those both would have been two sure td's. What about the overthrows by Pennington and White to Ginn that he had within 2-3 yards and was OPEN. Then the Fasano grab while he was OPEN that he left go through his hands. If Miami makes those plays, the outcomes may be dramatically different and we could be 2-1 at this point.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda; I get that part. However it makes me wonder really how "bad" our team is versus underachieving in the first 3 games. I think that is what separates us from the really bad franchises like the browns, lions, tampa, etc. Those teams don't even set themselves up because of general poor execution.

Maybe if a few go our way things will be different down the road. It isn't like we have been absolutely murdered all 3 games. We actually have put ourselves in good positions in all three of them before we beat ourselves and let the other teams slam the door shut.

Good post, there are a few plays in particular that we did leave on the field... we make some of those plays and we have a win, maybe 2... some of those plays were on D as well... Wilson makes the pick at the end of the half agst Indy take the 3 off the board and we're lookin at kickn a FG to win @ the end of the game...

Right now I think the D is more worrisome than our O, I think if our offense hits a few big plays, even with Henne in there right now we may get on a roll.... that 95 yard TD agst the Bolts would've been huge had Penny hit that, I think it would've changed the whole demeanor of that game

That and the Pat White pass to Ginn are two obvious big plays that probably change the entire season.

And people wouldn't be flaming Ginn like they are. But it's Teds fault that everyone overthrows him.

Yes....I know he dropped a few balls. But come on.

True but this is America, the country of instant gratification. It is the "what can you do for me now" society and this is no different. I actually wonder what finheaven would have been like back in the 80's and early 90's with marino. I am sure people who have been calling for his head too and then praising him the next week. Just like anything else in life. When your doing good, nobody gives a rats *** but when you do something bad, they jump you...

You can bet one thing for sure. The hypocrisy will be in full force if Ginn ever matured into a solid wideout and maybe into an eventual number one. Those that bagged on him really hard core, calling for him to be released and calling him trash will be slobbing all over him if he makes the turn...

Yea, i've been saying it for a couple weeks. The ball just hasn't bounced our way this season, it hasn't in a while expect for last season, now we are not earning it but we aren't getting any breaks this season.
