Well,
I've long thought that this year will be a moot point come december. Meaning that I think we'll be a sub-standard team that will be on the verge of becoming the Greatness we once were. But, in response to recent events, I think we can go about this by looking at the schedule...
Loss Denver...They manhandled the colts. I think they win this one.
Loss NY Jets...they beat us last year and this year they are even better. Both offensively and defensively.
Win Carolina...what have they done this year?? Besides getting rid of their #1 receiver?? I think we win this one at home. Brown breaks it out and the QBs don't lose it for us.
Loss Buffalo...They will look a lot like the Steelers of 2004.
Win Tampa Bay...They just look terrible...all over...aging D (we can relate) and a pitiful offense (they don't have the star power that we have at the WRs or TE)
Loss Kansas City...We just can't put enough on the board to out score them.
Win New Orleans...unfortunately...due to the storm's repercussions...they will have substandard practices and chemistry all year. I hate having to book a win because of that, but it will in fact be the case.
Loss Atlanta...Vick. Then Vick. Then more Vick. Mix in Crumpler and Duckett at your own will.
Loss New England...they have our number. They just do. Let's not forget how we stole something from them last year. We will pay for that one.
Win Cleveland...yes, there is a team out there that looks as bad as we did last year. We win this one for sure.
Loss Oakland...a home game against Moss, Porter, and Collins...I hate to say it, but collins is three times the QB that we have.
Loss Buffalo...again, Loseman couldn't help them lose if he tried. His coaches wont let him have that much of an effect.
Loss San Diego...this is a questionable game...one, because they have so much travelling to do this year that fatigue is going to hurt them. Jet lag. Just look at their away game schedule. Two, if brees studders, they will rely on rivers who probably isn't ready yet. We could win, but I don't think we will.
Loss NY Jets...They are gonna be good guys, and daily they keep getting better...with Law and others being added.
Win Tennessee...they have done some terrible things here...one being the addition of Norm Chow...as if he's going to be successful right away...we saw the effects of creative college offense in the NFL and it didn't work for SPURRIER either.
Loss New England...they will be playoff bound and we will be trying to spoil it. Won't be the big upset this time. Nope.
Now I know you all are going to try and rip this, but if you look at what's on paper...like the way that Vegas does, then you'll see that we should lose all these games. Now of course it's called "any given sunday" for a reason, because anything is possible, but this is what is probable. So I say these idiots are way off with three wins. I can't see us not winning at least the 5 games I listed above. There just is no way that we can finish worse than last year with our new HC and an improved O line, not to mention a worthy defense.
