GB has to prove they can play with the BIG teams, look at this year : Vs. Atlanta : won in o/t on lucky field goal.
Vs. N. O. : lost soundly beaten (NO 20 / GB 7 )
Vs. Detroit : almost lost the game: GB 37 / Detroit 31
Vs. Carolina : almost lost, GB 17 / Carolina 14
Vs. Chicago : GB beat them as expected : GB 34/ Chic 21
Vs. NE : NE players hurt : GB 28 /NE 10
Vs. Washington : GB beat this team as expected
GB 30/ Wash 9.
The point is for all of the Bravado they are not dominating the league. The only thing they prove is that when faced with tough team they tend to lose the game. If Ray does not give it away we can beat these guys and do better than N.O., Detroit, Carolina, Atlanta .

Just a correction LAFan, the GB/NE game was the other way around. GB was missing three of 4 starting DBacks. The Pats were relatively healthy.

that was their most impressive game until we saw last week what the Pats have become. Bottom line: other than NO - a loss - this will be GBs toughest game to date, but at home at night should really help them - unless it gets over 40 somehow.

Call it lucky if you want but they beat ATL and NO lost to them!

GB is good! Very Good! Who cares about who they have beat! A bad team would have lost games they are supposed to win.

Why do wins over bad teams mean nothing but losses to good teams count. To say "we saw what the pats have become"

They lost to
1. Chargers 6-1
2. Your boys 5-2
3 Packers 6-1
4. Broncos 6-2

Believe me, I hate the Pats but I am not calling them a bad team yet.

and how in hell is a field goal in OT lucky? Yeah he was lucky that ball went thru the uprights? where is the logic here?

More fiction, No the Pats were at full strength.
The Packer's are the one that were beat up(8 starters out and the entire Packer Secondary were back ups)

Yeah the Packer are just #1 in takeover ratio and have both a top 10 offense and defense for nothing  Wow ,were do you get your facts from?

Well I agree that we are not dominating the league, but we are winning the games we are supposed to win. The team has improved each week despite losing our two starting tackles and countless players on defense. Are we the best team in the league? Who knows? But we are certainly in the top echelon of teams as long as #4 lines up behind center.

Its all about injuries

CJS : You got it . You have a good team in a weak division with a favorable schedule, much like NE last year. The team that is healthiest has to be the favorite for a shot at SB. As long as you have #4 you will more than compete.

Doesn't matter if GB is dominating the league or not, this is the NFL where any given Sunday one team can beat another..the fact that GB finds a way to win is testimony in itself that this is a good team and should be respected as such...The fact that it's the NFL and Miami has a good team should be the criteria of them being able to beat the packs..that's the measuring stick, can Miami find a way to beat GB in GB...Both teams are good..will we give it away in turnovers like we did with Buffalo or do we play good sound football and beat BG because we do play sound...If we don't, then GB will beat us.. We have a great opportunity to win this game..but it's the players that decide how by their play...A good team finds a way.. that's what the dolphins have to do...if we beat every team from here out by only 1 point, does that not make us a dominating team..or does it just make us winners..which would you prefer...dominate or win..there's been a lot of games where one team dominate..but the other wins.. I prefer the wins..if you can get both, fine..but dominating team that don't win don't get to the playoffs..winning records do.

 please not the "strength of schedule" stuff. Sorry but basing it on last year's record in this era of free agency is silly. point in case look at both the Rams and Bears.

mdfinfan nicely said.

Wow, LaFin sums it all up doesn't he? I think we should just forfeit the game monday night because he graciously showed us that we can only barely compete with the lower level teams..... Wisconsin Fan summed it all up really good so he took most of my thunder.....

Lets break it down with OFFICAL (looked up the facts before I posted notice) STATS:

Carolina @ Green Bay: Key players Inactive-S 24 A.Edwards(starter at the beginning of the year), FB 33 W.Henderson(starter), WR 84 J.Walker(3rd WR),S 24 A.Edwards, FB 33 W.Henderson, WR 84 J.Walker,TE 87 D.Martin(2nd TE), DE 90 V.Holliday(starter), DE 94 K.Gbaja-Biamila(pass rush specialist) Mark Tauscher(starting RT)

Green Bay @ Chicago: Key players Inactive-S 24 A.Edwards(starter at the start of year), TE 87 D.Martin(2nd TE), DE 90 V.Holliday(starter), CB Mike McKenzie(DB) Mark Tauscher(starting RT)
And that is the game Sharper went out.

Green Bay @ Patriots: Key players Inactive-S 24 A.Edwards(again, starter at the start of year), CB 34 M.McKenzie(starting DB), S 42 D.Sharper(Starting S),RB 44 N.Davenport(2nd RB and kick returner), DE 90 V.Holliday(starter), DE Joe Johnson(other starter) Mark Tauscher(starting RT)
And Chad Lifton(starting LT) got hurt on our first posession.

Washington @ Green Bay: Key players inactive- S 24 A.Edwards(starter), CB 34 M.McKenzie(starting DB), S 42 D.Sharper(starting S)RB 44 N.Davenport(2nd RB and returner), T 76 C.Clifton(starting LT), Mark Tauscher(starting RT) , DE 90Vonnie Holliday(starting DE), Joe Johnson(starting DE)

Also Favre went down right away in the second half when the outcome was still up in the air at 17-9 against Washington but we stilled pulled it out....

And your quick to point out that we almost lost to the pathetic Lions.... Did you also see that we were up by 17 in the 4th quarter and they only came back when we started throw a very basic defense that a Middle School team could figure out how to beat that.... I don't think you mentioned this point or any of the other ones due to injury, etc. You just want to point out a reason why your Dolphins will win in your mind....

If you guys had all these injuries that we were thrown into, I guarentee your backups wouldn't be able to do the job like ours did which is why we won all those games... You guys would be lucky to 2-2 let alone our 4-0 that we went with the injuries... After seeing Lucas throw to the blue jersies last week, you can't argue that you would be better than 2-2 at the best....

There, I am done venting... Next time, just make sure you look up the facts before you start assuming how we are, or how we did!!!

IMO, Green Bay started off a lil bit shakey and not knowing what to expect...but lately theyve gotten it going.

Guys, other than LA being incorrect on some of our past games thi season, what don't you like about what LAfinfan is saying? We are NOT dominating the league. However, we have had a TON of injuries and found a way to overcome them and at the same time improve as the season has gone on. LA also agrees that as long as we have Favre we will "more than compete".

We have to admit Packer fans - that the best team we played this year (Saints) we lost to. Monday night will be a good measuring stick for this team since both teams have key injuries to overcome - yet both teams are SB contenders. However, if Favre's injury keeps him from being effective, it could be a long night.

Regardless, I think we are in for a great game.

See I ignored all your other gaps in logic, but you just made a comment that has been pissing me off quite a bit lately. Yes our division is weak, tied for second worse in the league. However, our 6-1 record has little to do with our division, we've only played two divisional games. Don't tell me how our weak division is the reason we have the league's best record.

You can look at the numbers however they don't tell the whole story either (gee that sounds like another thread). I'll admit, the way they played, the Packers were lucky to get through the first three games at 2-1. However since then they have soundly defeated teams they should have beat, that's what good teams do. All this while we have had as many as 9 starters on the bench or IR. We've lost both ends on our D-Line, both O-Tackles, our entire starting secondary and yet still win. In the past three games, the Packers have not allowed a 100 yard rusher. Additionally, our defense has moved up from 21st ranked to 11th in the last three weeks. Our offense has been top 10 all season.

So give us whatever level of respect you want, for your sake you better hope your team gives them some respect (but I doubt any NFL team doesn't at this point).
