What more can you expect from a man coming off a calf injury?

Gutsy performance today, Marty. Keep it up, man.

For anyone keeping up with it, Marty is now Miami's second leading receiver. He overtook Randy McMichael with 475 yards to Randy's 463. Booker has played fewer games due to his freakish minor injuries, too. Randy has 48 catches to Booker's 30 as well, proving out the point that Booker has been criminally underutilized because Gus hasn't been comfortable enough waiting for the longer plays Marty is obviously being sent out on to develop.

I for one was VERY pleased with Booker's performance today! (I'm not sure if 3 catches for 78yards merits an I told you so thread) But he actually looked fast today..

I ecspecially liked that little "hush" he gave to the crowd after the deep ball..by the way whatta play by Gus to even keep that alive!! Booker woulda hade another TD but the defender knocked away another perfect strike from Gus.

Both starting Wr's proved something today..and it was nice to finally see.

I'm glad to hear it from you, man. It is my hope that Booker convinces you and everyone here who has doubted him that WR isn't a big enough concern to resort to free agency to solve. I really don't think it's that big a problem, though I do support bringing in a young, fast guy like a Chris Henry via the draft.

did ya see him push through the tacklers for a first down and then cupped his ear to the fans "I can't hear you" ....good game for him.

i got no problem with booker, but i still think we need another WR....

Why on Earth would this team need another WR, particularly one such as a Reggie Wayne?

I for one, I never had a problem with Booker, I mean he and Chambers, and R Mac both play for the Dolphins, right? I think Booker did a nice job.

3 catches will definetely shut the haters up

:rolleyes2

Did you read the entirety of what was written, or was it just too difficult for you to get past the first two words?

it was sarcastic. i'm mostly just laughing over all the hater threads. they're quite funny, yours especially. at least last week people had a case for chris chambers. if there ARE any booker haters (i doubt it, most people don't seem to care), then this game didn't change their mind, trust me

This was an important game for Booker that I wanted to highlight. It's funny that you are laughing at all the threads because I actually modeled the title after the Gus thread because I thought it would be funny. The purpose here was to note Booker overtaking McMichael and contributing significantly to a Dolphins win in the way a starting WR should. The single most important member of the audience was DBoston80, and he recognized it by responding quickly.

I dont really think anyone dislikes Booker. He always shows up to play and rarely drops passes.

He should have had a TD too but the DB made a great play on the ball just before it got to Booker.

I think hating is a strong word but as you said, it was mirrored on the Gus Thread. So I won't discuss that...
I've never warmed to Marty because I think he's been a tad inconsistent and he's more suited for the WC offense but I think he was solid today.
Only 3 receptions but 76 yds is big, that's a whole drive right there to MB.
If he could have that same production every game, he'd make me happy.
Also I think what's hurt Marty is the lack of a number 3 receiver on the Fins. Ideally Marty should be moving around from the outside to the slot. That's how he was used in Chicago and where he's effective. FOr us, he really can't move inside because you're lacking a deep threat (besides Chambers) outside.

I assure you that there is a contingent of fans who are intensely Booker-critical. For instance, DBoston80 charged that Booker would have preferred going back on the bus with the Bears after the preseason game against them and said just days ago,

Booker has been a complete DUD!

. . . .

Booker for whatever reason has NOT produced...sorry but he'll likely NEVER start another game as WR for us again...nor should he.
