For Allen, there's no 'deal in sight'

Be kind of funny if next years first round choice held out as well.

I honestly don't see what the hold up is at this point. The person directly in fron and behind has signed, work the money off of those contracts. If the length of the deal is no longer an issue, this should be done.

Allen i simply hurting himself and his chance of playing time goes away with each practice missed. He better be studying though. If he walks into Saban's backfield and messes up, you may see another gorwn man reduced to tears...

I could care less at this point if he signs. Right now I am looking forward to a season without him and if he finally does sign he has alot to prove to get any respect from me.

It saddens me to admit that I am starting to feel the same way. This holdout is very frustrating. I had high hopes that Allen would be a solid contributor to the defense this year. But the reality is, as the days go by his chances of being that solid contributor are getting slimmer and slimmer. I am looking forward to the season starting and whether or not Allen signs is becoming more irrelevant as each day goes by.

He is just hurting his chances at starting. His agent may know that but he is just trying to get the best deal for his client. He will sign and contribute eventually.

Does anyone resent Ronnie Brown holding out last year knowing what kind of person and player he is ?

Yeah, this shouldn't be too tough. Everyone drafted around him has signed...so bump his yearly average up to that of the 14 or 15th pick but sign him to 6 years instead of 5. That way, he gets his money and the Dolphins have him signed for 6 years. Everyone's happy and he is in camp. If either side has a problem with this type of scenario, they are just being rediculous.

I don't resent Ronnie for holding out, but I definitely think it had an effect on his productivity last year. He definitely didn't start off strong...34 carries 92 yards in first two games. Also, didn't finish strong. Is that a result of not being in the best possible shape bc of missing camp time?

I say holdout as long as he can to make sure he gets the best deal for himself and his family. Football is a very dangerous game, and the guaranteed money from this deal may be the only money that Allen every sees in his career. As fans, we don't look at things from the athlete's perspective enough.

this was a comfort pic for nick plain and simple.

i never liked the pic, and i never thought he would be
any kind of instant catalist for our fortunes this year.

i would not put one more call in and i would go out
and find the very best db free agent and sign him...
,,,NOW!!

he isn't starting, thats long over. and i would bet any
money he gets hurt early on.

but i will say, the nick era contract stuff isn't going to
well. first ronnie punked them, and now jason is giving
it his best shot. and after all that flap by wayne.....

....is it smoke wayne? or are ya gonna do something
but flap your gums?

go sign a free agent or make a trade that opens his
eyes and stops the rest of our upcoming rookies from
pulling this same crap for years to come!!
