These 2 interviews are classic.

WFAN Audio

Colts team President Bill Polian snaps!! Seriously, the guy just snaps and tells off the interviewers!!! Polian puts his head in the sand on some issues.

Jimmy Johnson compares Peyton Manning to Alex Smith in a serious way! :sidelol:

The Colts deserve to suffer after the sneaky way their owner loaded up the team and moved them from Baltimore in the middle of the night.

I will definitely have to check these out when I get home from work.

If the people in Indianapolis want to win a Superbowl, they should dump Peyton and the Colts and have their civic leaders steal someone else's team in the middle of the night. :D

Is there anyway to play Real Audio clips without downloading that scummy software? I disavowed RM years ago.

Man, that first clip is just the epitome of blind as a bat homerism. Which is fine if it were some yahoo on an Internet message board. But coming from the GM of the team, it's just ridiculous.

The interviewer was making great points. If Peyton is such a world-class QB who can do no wrong in the regular season, why isn't he at all to blame when the Colts do their usual collapse in the playoffs? I bet, had the Colts won, Manning would have gotten all the credit. And this joker just refuses to hear any criticism of his QB. But I guess he has to protect his reputation since he has pretty much gambled the team's future on Peyton.

How soon before they pass a law in Indiana making it illegal to ever lay blame on Peyton Manning for anything?

In all fairness to Polian, they were the ones to start raising their voices first, especially the first interviewer - who really was trying to antagonize him.

However, that is a franchise in denial, and for all the reasons the guys summarized at the end. The Colts simply cannot admit that Manning does not function well in big games against adversity. Especially if that adversity is in the form of all-out blitzes from a defense that also hits their WRs off the line.

As Jimmy pointed out in the second segment, Peyton is simply not accustomed to being hit like other QBs. And all that goofy audibling at the line reflects a frenzied lack of patience.

The bottom line is that Peyton Manning lost the game, not during the sacks or incompletions, but at the end of the last drive. Instead of getting a first down and either scoring later or at least getting Vanderjagt closer, Manning called two low-percentage passing plays that ended in failure.

EDIT: Also, thanks to GreenMt for that Real Alternative link. Now I can watch RM files without downloading that hijackware!

My opinion of MAnning is the Colts will never get a championship with him having so much free reign on the offensive playcalling.

If he had a coordinator who called the plays instead of the figurehead Tom Moore he'd be forced to use the All Pro running back he has a lot more.

How can a team with a running back like Edge James have failed in the playoffs so many times? That Pittsburgh game was the prototype game for when you use your running back.

The Steelers were blitzing Manning into the ground yet he continued to throw the football. Yes, they were behind 14-0 early but there was over 3 quarters of football left to be played.

They onlt really worked Edge into the game on one drive, the one that got them a field goal before the half.

Manning is a front runner. Get him behind by 2 touchdowns and have a decent pass rush and he ****s the bed.

I do love this stuff though...my disdain for all things Colt is unending.

I hate the Colts for some reason. I think its because I love seeing them be the favorites every year then choke it away.
