My first playoff game I remember watching as a dolphins fan I was (9). 2001 lost to ravens. Didn't make playoffs again until 2008 (16) lost to ravens. Didn't make playoffs again until 2016 (24) lost to Steelers. Didn't make playoffs again until 2022 (30) lost to bills. 2023 made playoffs playing chiefs (31)

This has been my life, so when I get bashed for my positives threads this is where I'm coming from, I didn't get to see those great 70s teams or even the Marino era. And even though this team and even this coaching staff has obvious flaws there is enough here to build around. Because a rebuild tear down could set us back another 7-8 years and life is short and we may not have that time. Yes I'm a little emotional after watching hard knocks

Firing McDaniel/trade Tua rants are just an overreaction which was warranted after we gifted the Bills the division.

Any fan with his head screwed on correctly knows that our best (realistically, only) option is to hope McD & Tua grow/mature/get better in the offseason.

How are we going to rebuild with a draft missing 3rd & 4th round picks & a cap that is as tight as a real Dolphin's vagina?

I don’t care who the coach is, I just want them to win. Tired of underachieving letdowns.
It isn’t for want of trying. Our guys have fought like hell even when hopelessly behind. They don’t quit, like Gase and Philbins teams did. They are severely undermanned, most to injures, somewhat due to underwhelming recent drafts. We lack young, talented understudies. Currently 2 many injury prone veterans.

Tua and McDaniel have one more year together at a bare minimum and likely many more as well. Whether that leads to success for the team is another story.

Right there with you. I'm 37 and it's crazy how much life has been lived in between playoff appearances, not to mention playoff wins, and now we've made it 2 years in a row. I'll take that and let them keep building!!

I don't want to fire McDaniel but let's be real... He took over a great gig as a 1st time HC.

He inherited a 10 and 9 win team that was stocking up on multiple high draft picks on cheap rookie deals, including a top 5 QB with 2 years experience. Tua, Waddle, AJ, Eich, Hunt, Wilkins, Phillips, Holland, Van Ginkel, Brandon Jones, Raekwon Davis were all drafted under Flores' watch.

If I had a criticism, it's that we stopped building and accumulating talent through the draft the past 2 years. He helped to draft Achane, who has been very good, but basically traded his other picks for vets looking to get mega contracts and rest of draft picks haven't contributed much. It's been great short term but we're going to lose a lot of that drafted talent in the near future because of it.

I’ve said this a few times. People talk ”rebuild” a lot, but the foundation of this team was built. And the team was coming off a 19-14 stretch. McD took a team that was 5 games over .500 over the prior two seasons. And then was able to add Tyreek, Armstead, Ramsey, Chubb, Elliott, Long, Mostert, and Achane while losing not a single player of significance (Gesicki?).

This is the reason I said yesterday that 11-6 with a Wild Card spot could be considered underachieving. Most new coaches are taking over teams that have cratered. Not the case with McD.

I hope that's true, but many of these posts are just bitching to bitch and offer no intellectual insight, recommendations or value.
Sometimes I want the one on the left, then sometimes second from the left, then I want the two on the right both at the same Time. Then I go back to the two in the middle and then……………
