Dolphins (vs Buffalo): pretty obvious
Denver (vs KC): and here is why.

Yes we could lock up a playoff spot with a Denver loss. But I want the headline to read "One more win vs NE means playoffs".
I don't want any of our local fans have any excuses not to go to the game. None of this "oh they are already in the playoffs". I want the place packed to the roof and not only fight for the playoffs but also for the #5 slot. With a KC loss and a Dolphins win we would move into the #5 seed. Tied in AFC record the next tiebreaker with KC is wins in common games and we have not only the mandatory minimum 4 games but a boat load of common opponents with a total of 10 games at the end of the season.

Right now the Dolphins are 4-1 in common opponents (SD, NYJ, Pitt, TN).
KC is 2-2 and can do no better than 3-2 (SD last game of the season).

The second selfish reason is that as a season ticket holder you always want to be rewarded with the playoffs and hopefully a home game. As #6 seed not happening. As #5 seed there is a 0.000001% chance that we could have a home game. Dolphins win 2 playoff games as #5 seed and the #6 seed wins two as well and we would be playing for the right to go to the Super Bowl at home.

Yes, I am selfish and yes I am dreaming.

lets not get greedy here... we can just as easily lose these next two and miss completely... Mia win, Kc win

Nah can't cosign lol

Let Miami win and KC.

Then we can root for the Fins against NE and hit a bar to watch KC lose at the Chargers.

u root for that, and i'll root for a locked up playoff spot Christmas morning

deal?

I would think the place would be packed anyways with the team in the playoffs...

Team could be 16-0, there are still going to be a ton of Patriot fans there. I know several hardcore Patriot fans who have Dolphins season tickets because they live down here and they resell all of their tickets throughout the year and only go to the Pats game.

Said they end up breaking even and essentially get 2 lower level tickets every year for free to watch the Pats play. Said they used to buy tickets to the game, but seats as good as they have would run them over $700 for 2 for this game.

Place will be packed but there will be a good amount of Pats fan there like always.

Nope be smart about this. And I just want the Buffalo game to mean we rip up Rex, if Denver loses great!

I really would hope so, being New Year's and all not sure. There will probably be plenty of Pats fans there like last year. I wish I could share the absolute perplexed look they had last year at/near the end of the game.

Considering right now it's 34 in Foxborough and with snow showers, I will never blame anyone who is a fan of a team in the north for coming down to see their team play in Miami. If I was a Skins, Ravens, Jets, Bills, Pats, Giants, whomever in the north and my team played the Dolphins from Thanksgiving on, I'd make it a guarantee to come down and see a game.

Those in Miami are spoiled and they don't even realize it.

I understand your motives, especially as a season ticket holder, but the plan could backfire so easily. The sooner we make the playoffs (or at all), the better. And if we do this can only help - and from the experience, perhaps help setup your home playoff game (and win) next year!

I hate the Pats almost more than anyone, living up here with all these moron Patriot fans, but no way would I wanna rest my playoff hopes going against Brady and Bellichek.. We have a nice record against em at home, but I'd much prefer it locked up beforehand.
