At what point do paid professionals realize that switching to an overly cautious defense at the end of the game after you've held the opponent down all game long is a bad idea? This happens with a lot of other teams too. I just don't get it.

CONSPIRACY THEORY: Could this actually be something encouraged by the NFL as a whole in order to make games more exciting and dramatic for fans? Otherwise you'd think these coaches would learn to stop throwing away games like this eventually.

Yeah, we should have continued bringing pressure. Wilson was hurt and if forced to move he was terrible, but we only rushed 3 or 4 the entire last series. Bring a LB or a S on a few of those plays and we are celebrating a win.

Mario Williams left the game and our pass rush evaporated. We were getting constant push when Mario was in.

So soft. They let the Seahawks score at the end of the first half too. Tired of this BS play it safe mentality. It will always bite you in the ass.

It's a combination of queasy coaching (as the OP mentions - other teams do it all the time) and a bit of Russell Wilson - he does this an awful lot.

Defense gave a valiant effort. Combination of things on the last drive did us in. Gotta learn from it

Might as well bring the pressure, it's not like they were covering anybody sitting back.
