I’m no guru, just a Dolphins guy who has been a fan for 43 years.

So I’ve seen some ****, with our guys and everybody else’s (to a lesser extent).

And I’ve been preaching, yeah, OK:

Get Tua if you must. But he ain’t gonna change much. Nor will Herbert, Fromm, or even Lawrence.

As I have stated many times before, we had that guy. Awesome. Spectacular. Beautiful to watch. Nearly scored at will.

But even that wasn’t enough.

In Armandos latest article, he stated that even Marino couldn’t do much with what we currently have, be it so by design or incompetence. And he’s dead on correct.

Piss poor line, dropped passes....

All I’m saying is do not think for one second that some hot rod QB is worth this. Whoever that may be, he isn’t. It doesn’t work that way.

Brady always has a complete team around him. Always. If we swapped Rosen for Brady right now, this second, Rosen would go to the Super Bowl. And Brady would watch it from his couch (for once).

Don’t tank for Tua. In fact, quit tanking. Make it respectable. We’re gonna draft high as **** anyway....

I don't think we're tanking for Tua.

I think we're tearing it down to build it up again.

Perhaps we'll be able to acquire a franchise QB as we're building back up.

That would be an excellent piece to have.

Armando is a lowest common denominator, simplistic a$$clown.

What we're doing is much more complex than tanking for a specific college player.

Don't play checkers with Mando while the team is playing chess.

But even the guys we may keep are blowing it sky high. D did OK yesterday, I figured Brady and his band of merry men were gonna feed us a 60 burger. Williams, Grant, Parker (shocker there). All had critical drops. That ain’t gonna work.

The Patriots slept through that game. That's my honest opinion.

We'll get a better look at both offense and defense in the coming weeks to make a more informed decision about exactly how freaking bad it is, but I really didn't see anything to take home yesterday for the future.

There's no "quit tanking." at this point. We got rid of most of our best players. The plan isn't to have 1 player, even a QB, save everything. We've acquired multiple early round picks. Gotta make em count though.
That's what many fail to realize. It isn't about "tanking for Tua". I agree, that would be fools gold.

It is, in part about putting us in a position to get a "franchise" QB, but there are no gaurantees with any individual QB we may draft.

It is also about accumulating picks, getting rid of onreous contracts for mediocre players, and getting smart players who fit the design of the systems

Yes, we could possibly have done it less painful manner, but it would have been a tradeoff somewhere.

I felt a lot better prior to the last week of preseason before we jettisoned Tunsil. We got great value in the deal, but it was morale killer. Rosen had given us hope and still does if we don't get him killed this year.

Moving forward, we must find a way to retain M. Fitzpatrick. He is young and talented. Getting rid of older injury prone over priced players in one thing, but we must keep young talent. At this point, I don't want Tua or any other QB until we rebuild this team. If we can retain on Defense: Baker, Goldschmidt, X, Fitzpatrick we have a core D. Get 2 DE's, I top CB this next draft. The rest of the focus should be offense. Give Rosen the keys with the rebuild Offense next year. If he doesn't look the part we have at least 2 round 1 picks in 2021 where we snag our QB. Any QB we get next year without a line will erase any confidence the young QB had coming in.

:hclap: Well said. I could not have said it better.

This is not about one player. The QB is just the center piece in this plan. With all the draft capital built up, and salary cap space, they should be able to build this team they way want. Let's hope they are smart with the pics.

I agree the Patriots played very bad and hung 43 on us.

Like another poster said. I don't mind the process, it's just that I don't know if the people choosing the players know who/how to pick good players. I mean Fitz is the current GM's choice. So was Tunsil and so on.
