I think that MOST of the Finheaven brothers are on the same page this year-- despite some of the nastier arguments.

We all pretty much agree that we need Offensive and Defensive Linemen more than anything else... then we generally agree that we need defensive backs and the odd offensive weapon player (but most don't want this player drafted early).

Our discussions have mostly been just shadings rather than technicolor differences.

So, we've gotten more locked up on this or that Lineman, or whether we should go OL, DL, CB... or instead DL, OL, CB.

I guess that I'm sort of disappointed. How the heck will we be able to say, "nyah, nyah, nyah, I told you so!" when we are so closely aligned.

I suppose that we can wait for a draft day curveball, but this looks like the easiest draft to predict in many years.

Well if we go corner or safety at 13 I know one or two guys that will no doubt start a topic about firing Grier and threatening to quit until he is. 😂

Although I want Harmon or similar at 13, this, if it happens might just be worth the price of meltdown.

There are potentially a few curveballs, but probably not with pick 13. I'd bet it's either corner, defensive tackle or offensive linemen with Miami's 1st.

I think a quarterback, or a wide receiver could be an earlier pick then expected. Most likely this is Tyreek Hill's last year in Miami. There's a possibility that Hill gets traded. Could Grier look ahead if a good receiver drops?

Tua's durability makes quarterback possible. I know bringing up Milroe causes some shivers, but if he reaches 48 do you gamble on greatness? More likely it's a later pick, but I could see something along those lines.

To continue with a theme... I don't disagree with a lot of that. I, too, would go WR before the other skill positions because of Hill's contract situation in '26.

The QB I prefer is McCord though... he's a quick processing, throws to a spot guy-- like Tua, except that he's bigger and more durable. With McCord, I dont think we'd need to change the offense.

Lots of variables. How far and what in return?

True.

Just wondering depending on the drop if we get an extra 2/3 so could cover all OL, DL, CB very early and hopefully they are all starters at some point this coming season.

Throw another curve ball for @Feverdream, what happens if we trade down from 13?
I guess that it would depend on how far, but I do believe that if we trade down, it might actually open us up to drafting a player NOT on our obvious lists. My thinking: Trading down would give us another pick in the top 100, and since the 2nd and 3rd round will be filled with Guards, D-Linemen, and Safeties... we could likely obtain players like Donovan Jackson, Tate Ratledge, or TJ Sanders who would start for us-- without over drafting @ 13... thus fitting in a WR or TE that we didn't expect to get.

Right. Gabriel could fit, too. He's the Brock Purdy of this draft IMO. If he were three inches taller, Gabriel might in in the 1st round conversation.

McDaniel inherited Tua. I do wonder what his preference in quarterback would be? That's one reason I keep coming back to Milroe. McDaniel loves speed and Milroe would enter the NFL as perhaps the most athletic quarterback, or close to Lamar Jackson.

I don't question that Milroe isn't a finished product.

Agree on wide receiver.

My immediate thought is Zabel, who Miami is believed to have interest in. Maybe Starks?

A trade down 5-7 spots and I think both would be available.
I heard the Broncos are willing to trade up.

The problem though is our position at 13. Who will be available worth trading up for?

Jeanty and Warren will both likely be gone or they might trade up even higher than us for one of them.

If we can trade down to the 20 range then my targets would be Grant Zabel and Harmon.

The better question is, do we think the painfully obvious is obvious to those who get to make the picks?

I’m scared they’ll take a DB at 13 and claim the trench positions are deep enough to wait
