First of all i wish people on this board would stop bashing ronnie brown about no living up to the potential of a number 2 pick. For the past two seasons our line has never been set, constantly moving people around and so forth. Not only that ronnie brown had very limited carries so far throughout his career. By the way its kinda hard to get alot of carries when your playing behind in more than half your games. The games we controlled last year were the games that ronnie was productive. Like the bears for example i think he was the first to break 100 yards on that defense last year. If our system could maybe just stay in tact and get an offense and oline to gel he will live up to that 2nd pick.

Just join VIP and then you don't have to worry about it.

But I do agree man. Ronnie is a very good back and will break out if he can get consistant holes to run through.

I didnt think he was being bashed. When healthy hes proven to be pretty productive, especially last year when he was suddenly the only back in the backfield after Ricky was lost for the year and he had to deal with the horendous o-line.

I think ronnie could be one of the best backs in the league if we had an oline you all have seen what he can do without an oline just think of what he could do if we had a good oline like the chargers i think he could be a top five running back in this league esay

Absolutely, it was killing me a month ago when quite a few on this board were saying that Ricky was going to get more carries and yardage than Ronnie Brown. I guess this latest development answers that question once and for all.

Like I said in the other thread,. Ronnie has been running against
eight man defensive fronts, behind a sub-par offensive line and
with a QB carousel....
And he still averaged over four yrds a carry....

I would like to reserve judgement, because I think he will do well
once we solve our QB and O-line problem...

If I were to say something negative about Ronnie,
it would have to be durability.

Why show up outta weight? Run a little

So pissed off about ricky. I dont get it. As a Texas boy, I pulled for him so much. So optimistic. Love to have that big *** Samoan blocking for ron and rick. Hate to be negative, but this boy should be slapped and kicked in the face! Fck him! I hope that boy is on welfare by the end of this year!

I hate pointless threads like this where people get mad at others for having a different opinion. :o

You if Brown would actually play like a brusing back we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I don't know how many times I saw Ronnie Brown dance in the middle. The guy is 234+ and he is juking in the back field.

I know some of it is O-line problems and he had to create his own holes but I mean camon hit the hole then hit some guys.

O Lines dont make the back, the back makes the O Line. Miami had an anemic running game until RW came to the Phins. Then he ran for 1800 yards with the same O Line.

LT made the O Line at San Diego, not vice versa.

Now, when you get an O Line AND a RB, that is rare. We dont have it here.

Look at Philly, good O Line, no runners.

Steelers without the Bus have mediocre running game.

Many examples that the back makes the Line.

i dunno what ronnie you were watching but in the latter half the year last year he was hiting holes and "knocking fools out". he sometimes dances in the backfield not because he doesn't hit the hole, but because there is no hole to hit!

I can recall more than a dozen times where Ronnie didn't hit the hole.

Hopefully with Cam as our coach he will get RB to play more like LT.

I'm not saying Ronnie's great... I'm looking at the end product..
Four plus yrds a carry... Juke or no juke...
