NFL | Ginn Jr. not expected to participate at NFL Combine
Sun, 18 Feb 2007 07:40:45 -0800
Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Ohio State WR Ted Ginn Jr. (foot) is not expected to take part in the NFL Combine. Ginn Jr. continues to recover from a sprained left foot injury.

Most of us already knew he wasn't going to run at the Combine. It's only been about 6 or 7 weeks since his injury and he will need the time to train.

After all the crazy numbers we've been hearing about his 40 time, this will probably help him rather than hurt him.

other way around. His 40 times won't matter as much as the fact he'd be going up against the best WRs in the country during drills for a week. Guys who have been hurt in the past have still gone to the combine and done the drills just not the 40's. The only excuse for missing the combine is being in a cast. Guys like Young,Bush, and Leinart skipped last year because they were garunteed top 10 picks, but they still shouldn't have skipped.

Scouts put more emphasis on the combine than private workouts and pro days mainl because it's a week long process.

I didn't think his WR skills even mattered as much. I thought he's where he is because of his speed and return abilities.
