Losing sucks, especially when you have to listen to dierdorf stroke the pats

Going into next year we must address the NT position. Ferguson is old and if you want a 3-4 you better have a nose tackle.

Linebackers, Linebackers, Linebackers,
- Charlie Anderson and Akin Ayodele will not cut it
- Roth has played pretty good but is still more of a situational player IMO

Corner & Safety
- Draft (too expensive in free agency for a corner, Asomugha would cost
much, we need to get a couple young guys to compete with Goodman
and the Allen bros.)

O-Line
- Still not quite physical enough for this regime's liking. D. Thomas is still
an unknown and you can bet this position will be addressed a little more

WR
- We have gotten pretty good play out of the WR position this year. This
one area I think Free Agency is a must. Boldin, TJ, or someone needs to
be priority for this franchise

All this can be addressed this offseason. We have the cap room and people are going to want to come here in FA.

I have a strange feeling we will not only be hosting the SB next year, but the Dolphins will be in it next year.

There are definitely some things to be glad about and I'm very glad I've been able to enjoy some Dolphin wins this year. The problem is that we have been over-achieving and that doesn't indicate we will have success in the coming years. We did some good things in Saban's first year but were a joke the next, when we were supposed to go to the SB. We've won a lot of games by the skin of our teeth this year, and those weren't always against good teams. It's just as likely that next year we are gonna come out on the other end of a lot more of these next year.

Thanks, bro. We are all going a little crazy with a little taste of success. The problem I have is that you never know what can happen from year to year. Look at the Chargers this year...predicted to go the SB and they suck this year. We need to take advantage of every situation...oh yeah, and we need some CBs!

It's good that we've improved a lot from last year but moral victories just don't do it for me. I've been through the 11-5's, 10-6's, etc. I won't be happy until I see them at least get to the Super Bowl. Don't get me wrong, it's great that games are at least enjoyable this year as opposed to last year but until I see them in the Super Bowl, it's just "been there, done that."

I can guarentee you that we wont be bringing in a big name receiver. Bill Parcells does not like big time wide receivers, he likes dependable guys like the ones we have in camarillo and Bess. I dont think any big changes there. I think this upcoming off-season will be all about the defense, we need a lot of help there. We need more d-line help, we need ALOT of linebacker help, and we need 2 other guys in the secondary besides Bell and Allen.

While I agree with you a whole lot of people also said he'd never draft an OT 1st overall because he always drafts LB's and DE's. Bringing in a TJ Housh is not like C.Johnson or T.Owens, he would bring the talent without the headaches.

I agree. I don't think Paul Solai is the answer. We need a guy who can anchor the middle.

I definately agree about upgrading our LB core. Akin should stay,IMO...he has been playing pretty solid, and he's made more plays overall than Crowder. Crowder just started making plays over the last couple of weeks. What we need is another pass rusher. Charlie Anderson is only a backup, he was brought in to be that speedy pass rusher but has not made an impact in passing situations. We clearly do need more pass rushers, Porter can't do it all by hisself. Once we bring another solid pass rusher, Porter will see less double and triple teams.

Corner & Safety

If Ireland, Parcells, and Sparano thinks DBs is a priority, than Asomugha is money well spent. We are GREAT shape as far as our cap is concerned, and one big FA signing wouldn't put a dent in our cap. I would love to have him on our team, did you know that Asomugha has only been thrown on six times THIS SEASON, and only three of those pass were complete. That would eliminated one half of the field on passing plays. Personally, I think Goodman and Allen are fine, upgrading our pass rush would make this tandem much better. We could upgrade our depth by going after Chris Gamble or Dunta Robinson, if they are not re-signed by their former teams. In the draft, I like

Satele did look pretty bad, but in his defense; he was going up against one of the premiere DTs in the league. Wilfork is #6 on my list of DTs, right behind Albert Haynesworth, Kris Jenkins, Marcus Stroud, and Pat Williams. I think we should find a stronger center, move Satele to guard and let him battle it out with Donald Thomas. Although Thomas had a good preseason for us, I'm still a little skeptical because he was a 6th or 7th round pick for us. Don't get me wrong, I hope Thomas is a diamond in the rough for us, but there is a reason why 31 other teams kept passing on him every round, and until he spends more time on this team and proves his worth, we should keep challenging him with competition at that position.

Our WR corp are overacheiving for the most part. We still need a true #1, and improved depth. Boldin and T.J. are pipe dreams, they are going nowhere but back to their former teams. We will have to find one in the draft.
