I was a huge fan of charles clay in 2013 after his breakout year but in 2014 he was very inconsistent there were times were dion sims would come in and he would play better then clay did, and i know his stats don't say much but if you watch some of his games you would know exactly what im talking about, i really like what sims have to offer. He can block very well better then most TE so having him will be like having 6 O-linemen on the field, he has a very big frame and his hands are reliable, Also it seems like last year he was able to stretch the field on a few big plays. Now Clay imo, and not because he is or might be leaving mia, but he is over rated, he is not a true TE, more so a catching fullback, he will go to buffalo and become a nobody, I say we sign Jordan Cameron to replace clay then let sims develop a little more behind jordan and watch sims develop into a superstar in a year or 2, Also we need to sign justin forsett as our starting running back, Sims will also help us in the running game something clay didn't do so well, Sims was the starting tight end at michigan state and the running back then was Leveon Bell of the pittsburgh steelers...

Here are his combine results:

  • 40-yard dash: 4.75 seconds (8th of 15)
  • Vertical jump: 35 inches (4th of 14)
  • Broad jump: 112 inches (12 of 14)
  • Three-cone drill: 7.36 seconds (12 of 13)
  • 20-yard shuttle: 4.52 seconds (11 of 13)
  • 225-pound bench press: 22 (T-3rd of 15)

Maybe Dion Jordan can be developed into a TE?
If he cannot get on the field as a defensive player, they should try it.

4.59 -40 yard dash
37.5 INCH -vertical jump
119.0 INCH -broad jump
6.82 SEC -three cone drill
4.03 SEC -20 yard shuttle
23 -225-pound bench press

Jordan cameron. Sign him up.

I like Sims a lot but he not Clay. I really hope we keep him but Cameron would be a nice pickup. Cameron/Sims is really good but the head issues scare me. Still would rather keep our boy Clay

and a ****ton of concussions.

Sims is fine in as a 2nd TE. Soft hands, and big body. Jordan Cameron is an okay player. Not really a fan of him, but we need an athletic guy if we lose Clay. Cameron has never played a full season, and has only had one good season. I guess the same goes for Clay, except Clay doesn't have concussion issues. I wouldn't be bothered by having him if we lose Clay, but I am not holding out hope for him to be great for us unless we decide to make him a focal point like the Browns did in 2013.

Sims is good though. He needs to keep improving.

Clay battled injury all year last year.

Talk about a pipe dream, you need talent to play any position in the NFL.

Sims is destined for a life of second stringer.

And the reason for that being?

He made such a significant improvement from year 1 to year 2. You can say he's "destined for a life of second stringer" all you want, but you'll probably eat your words later.

He's visiting tomorrow. You may get your wish

I like Sims a lot too. Dude seems very focused on living up to his full potential
