i dont particularly care for brady quinn......i think miami could use their 2nd and draft jordan palmer (who, in my opinion, looks like a better qb than quinn)

fire away....

Palmer has the physical tools needed to be a good QB, but he has never looked like a starting NFL QB when i watch him play. He is very innaccurate at times and throws way to many picks, forcing balls in where they have no chance of being completed. He also makes really bad reads and doesn't go through his progression. He will not be drafted anywhere near the 2nd round.

Here is a little insight to Carson's younger brother

Strengths:
Has prototypical size...Was extremely productive...Team captain who shows some leadership ability...Tough, strong and relatively durable considering the beating he took at times behind a sub par offensive line...Accurate with good touch when he's not being pressured...Still has some upside...A lot of his weaknesses can be addressed with good coaching...You can't ignore the family history and pedigree.

Weaknesses:
Throws way too many interceptions...Field vision is questionable and he will force throws...Technique and mechanics are inconsistent and need a lot of work...Does not stand up to pressure well...Is not very mobile and will not hurt defenses with his feet...Arm strength is adequate but not special...He might be too easy going.

Notes:
Brother of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, who won the Heisman Trophy and is a former #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft...Nickname is "J.P."...Is not nearly the prospect that some make him out to be and a lot of that has to do with his bloodlines...Certainly has some physical tools to develop and he could thrive in the right situation but it's too much to expect him to be as good as his brother is.

Palmer is definitely not a second round QB, I would be surprised if he was drafted at all.

Why forget about Quinn. I think taking a risk on Quinn is a better investment than either waiting for Culpepper or trading for Trent Green. Come on man, he is the most polished QB in the draft.

He's a turnover machine who can only throw to one side of the field.

I wouldn't touch Palmer with a 6th rounder. But if he's available in the 7th and we haven't drafted a QB up to then, I could be fine if we took Palmer. He's no where close to the level his brother is and it's too bad we can't have his brother.

:rolleyes2
Don't be offended, but I don't think this is sane enough to warrant a comparison and explanation, but here compare for yourself....

Also remember Brady also went against tougher competition, and si expected to be taken in the 1st round, not a midrounder like Palmer (there is a reason people think he is a midrounder you know).
