you cant spend your whole life being mad at someone. Ricky Williams made a mistake. People make mistakes all the time. Was Ricky Williams wrong for not playing in 2004? Yes... But this is a game. This isnt a marriage where one big mistake could ruin that marriage. This is only a game where athletes are paid to play. The players would forgive Ricky Williams if he shows he is sorry. People are already not giving Ricky Williams a chance. Part of forgiveness is for both sides to forgive and forget. People seem to put a judgement on Ricky Williams as if he is a bad person. Did he commit murder? No!! Did he commit any crimes by quitting on the team? No!! There are proffesional athletes who have commited crimes and are welcomed back. Please give Ricky Williams another chance. If you dont then why do you deserve another chance when you mess up?

How do you forgive someone who quit on his team specifically to smoke dope? I think NOT. If it was Buffalo...no way. Miami can't be that desperate to find a running back..can they? Go with the Rook and let him develope. If he gives you 1/2 of what Willis gave us...you'll be better off than with Gonja Man. He's in it for money...nothing more. IMO ofcourse.

Was I mad when Ricky retired, of course, at the time he was probably our best player. However I would never hate someone for doing something in their lives that would make them happier, and quitting the game did make Ricky happier. I forgave him then. I have no problem with him now, if he can help us win, I would LOVE to have the guy.

I'll forgive as soon as he breaks a 40 yard run for a td! Until then he's just a traitor.

I will give him a big KISS if he gets his normal 200 yards against the bills

Thurman Thomas also smoked marijuana. He also made mistakes on his life. So how do you hate on Ricky WIlliams but not one of youre former great bills runningback Thurman Thomas?

If he leads us to the playoffs, all is forgiven. Beleive me I was pissed off what he did last year. But we all make mistakes and maybe he didn't want his body to get creamed by wannys play calling of run 1st,2nd, and 3rd down.

No.

I have forgiven Ricky...because of him Wanny is no longer here, and a REAL coach like Nick Saban is here to guide us.....we also have Ronnie Brown and some great new additions... sometimes you have to take a step back in order to go forward....in the longer run we will be a much better team for it.

:yeahthat:

exactly my thoughts

What makes me angry is how many people are angry at Ricky for something they truly know nothing about. We were not in on meetings and team discussions, the coaching staff was a total clusterf##K, there was dissention all throughout the team. As far as his personality, who knows. Has anyone spoken with HIM, has anyone heard it from his mouth. It's all warped by the media and how they want him percieved. In n.o. he was percieved as an outkast and was hated cause that's how the media there wanted him potrayed.

Imagine if you didn't like your position at your company, felt like you were being abused and taken advantage of, were not happy with your career and where it was going, and to top it off the company was clearly going downhill and had no direction. At the same time you suffered from Anxiety and panic Dz and stopped your meds cause of the side effect of weight gain; but somehow needed to relax. What would you do?

I think his timing sucked, but he did what he thought he needed and better that than dragging down our team or getting injured. I'm sure other people would have liked to do the same thing. Remember Chidi Ahaunatu who signed for like one week and after being in with the coaches decided not to show up anymore and signed with TB? That should give you some info. I think we judge people very prematurely without knowing all the true facts and are gullible to believe purely what the media feeds us.

Do you see your line that says "the players would forgive RW if he shows he's sorry". Yeah they might IF he does apologize and produces.. but so far he's done neither! He might produce, but if ya ask me, he's gotta apologize to all of us, not just the team. I paid a lot of money last year to travel and see them play 4 games, they lost all four games. And he's a huge part of the reason. The team was geared around him, and he didn't just quit... he quit when there was no chance of really doing anything about it. It hurt the moral and our chances. Start w/a sincere apology to EVERYONE and then produce!

Hey Dogtag, I speny years in Buffalo bouncing at various clubs and trust me, there were Bills players doing a hell of a lot worse then Marajuana. Hmm, how quickly Buffalo forgive Kelly for all of the trash he was talking about Buffalo the city and the team before he got there. So please don't talk about not forgiving. All it usually takes is to turn a fickle fan is some wins or some big yards. In anycase, let the man play and then see what he does.
