He was drafted by Houston in 1984 and played with the Oilers until 1990. In 1991, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins and stayed there until he retired in 1993.
we were actually family friends with them. We lived in Weston together. Me and my brother are his sons ages and our moms were good friends. We haven't talked to them since they moved back to Houston. They are wonderful people. Our hearts go out to his family for their loss.
OMG! How awful! R.I.P. John...my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones...
It is so tragic that the Dolphins been struck with some horribly untimely deaths as of late (Andra Franklin, David Woodley, Reggie Roby, etc.) It isn't just our win-loss record that has left us with heavy hearts the last few years.
Wow, thats sucks big time... Just goes to show you how careful you have to be at all time. When you do something over and over and over again you forget to be safe because of the confidence you have built up which makes mistakes even easier to happen sometimes...
