Former Pats LB Gary Guyton expected to visiting Fins soon

Marvin Mitchell is forgotten man but dude played stellar in coverage as well.

Guyton would be nice cus he practiced against the TE's we go against.

Mitchell is forgotten because he is an UFA and isn't even on the Dolphins roster. Obviously they weren't too keen on bringing him back.

Guyton would be a much better LB for us than Mitchell.

Just means he plays fast for his position. Madden has several seperate ratings for pass rush and coverage.
 
I really don't know what happened to him last year. He was great as a situational/coverage linebacker in 2010 but fell off the map last year. Couldn't tackle and got lost in coverage all the time. I thougt the switch to the 4-3 would make him better but he never picked it up. maybe a change of scenery will help.

The pats tried him out as a pass-rushing OLB against the Seahawks in 2008; it didn't work out.

He is decent at blitzing though.

Only problem is that you can't put a LB on those TE's. But I would like to sign Guyton. Belichick has made a career out of signing our guys, who then come up big against us. It's time for a little turn-about.
 
He's not strong enough to rush the passer on a consistent basis, but he's great in coverage. Would be a great depth signing. I wanted him bad in the 08 draft.
