Sign Jake Long the former 1st pick of the Miami Dolphins to a cheap hometown discount contract. Bench him let him get healthy and return kinda to his old form. Let Albert mold Billy Turner because if you watch his college tape at North Dakota you will see him flash great moments and he was very consistent. He will most likely take over the left tackle spot in a few years because Tannebaum believes you build a super bowl roster by developing your players. Draft Ali Marpet in the second round. Develope him as well. He reminds me a lot of Billy Turner. Let Suh bully Dallas Thomas I mean "prepare" Thomas for the real world in Practice. If he doesn't do well this year get rid of him. Starters would be Albert, Marpet, Pouncy, Turner, James. That's a very solid O-line. Once we get into the playoffs. You can enhance the O-line if you would like to Long, Albert, Pouncy, Turner, James. Long rehabbing getting back into prime time shape could benefit or he's just done. Miami does not need to spend a 1st round pick on an guard. Albert would be a Hall of Fame guard if they moved him to that spot and have Turner at LT. If he develops properly. The good thing is Suh will make this team a whole lot better.

He's there to teach. Quality depth and he loves Miami

I agree with this statement, but not sure how it fixes the oline.

Everything you said before that......well, the movie Billy Madison comes to mind.

Find 5 above average/good/great starters, and keep them together for the duration of their careers. #1 key to offensive line play is continuity. You can't have all these moving parts and expect success.

I would be ok with signing Jake to a vet minimum contract with the notion that he will be a back-up OT, but even under that scenario we just re-signed Jason Fox who is a solid back-up since he can play both positions. Sparano broke Jake by playing him in pre-season, he has not been the same since that injury. expecting Jake Long to ever be a quality starter of any type again is a pipe dream. it is also insane to move a pro bowl LT to G.
