Fox Sports says Miami had second worse offseason

I tell u 1 thing when they name u the 31 worst team out of 32 u got 2 man up, we have alot of veterans on our team n they have to take this to the heart n push them n selfs n the young guys to slap all this nerds ( the writers ) in the mouth n step up

Hey, regardless of whether we like the draft picks or not, how can we be 31 out of 32. We Added Porter, Martin, some b/u WR's and drafted a number a decent prospects. Other teams rated much higher than us on this "personal opinion" ranking did absolutely nothing (KC, Cinc, etc.) and even lost a few decent players along with only drafting a few OK prospects. How is that having a better off-season? SO you are better to sit on your butt and do nothing than try to improve your team ????

Well, they are only going by the press coverage. Ricky smokes away his future, we pass on franchise QB for gimpy KR, no #1 WR, no real RB backup, no QB, average secondary with a new coach and new system. If you go by what you read, it does sound bad.

Of course, if this guy had any clue, and researched then he'd have us ranked much higher, late teens at least. However, our 'offseason' is only about our moves and additions vs subtractions not our record out of 16 games.

QB is a big issue, but it'll get sorted out. 31 out of 32 is a joke though. We have the best front 7 in football now including names like JT, ZT, Crowder, and Porter. Whatever in the end, it's how our guys play that'll dictate the respect they get. It's always better to go in as an underdog anyway. I see good things coming our way!! GO FINS!!

I think it's just another case of someone glancing over our draft picks... not seeing the name "Brady Quinn"... and stamping our homework an "F".

Any team that picks up Joey Porter and Cory Schlesinger cannot possibly have the second-to-worst offseason in the NFL. Read the article, chuckle to yourself, and move along. Articles like this make no difference whatsoever. It's merely another guy's opinion, and nothing else.

Teams with the "best" offseason are vastly overrated. What are considered to be good free agent pickups turn out to be over-paid and under-performing. I can't remember the last big-name FA who was a good as they everyone hoped they would be. Rating draft picks is equally worthless, as none of them have ever played a single NFL game.

The Patriots don't deserve to be #1 for picking up a constantly hurt WR whose best years are clearly behind them.

i agree with him...sure we had key aditions...but who did we get that will really help us....porter comes into a d-fense ranked 4th which is good and the most he will do is make it 3rd or 2nd ranked...not much more...we needed help on offence who did we get....well martin which is another randy m...maybe even worst...we pick up ted ginn...who has a sprain ankle and y did we pick him up for speed...well his ankle is going to be a problem there...john and booker look good but really were not that big in college sooo there still up in the air whether they were good picks or not....all i have to say is that we should probably be switch with the packer and that all i have to complain about....we did do better then the packers...that for sure

I just don't see why so many people are high on Brady Quinn. Is he really as good as Matt Leinart who was drafted #10 last year or Jay Cutler at #11?

I don't think so. I think Brady Quinn got drafted about where he should have #22. If he works hard as a backup for a year or so, maybe he could become a franchise QB. He seems like he could end up a lot like Joey Harrington. Not bad, kind of average .... not good enough to be a top 15 QB who could get you to the Super Bowl.

I can't remember the last big-name FA who was a good as they everyone hoped they would be.

TO in Philly. He was a beast his first year, and propelled them to the promise land. Of course his ego took hold year following.
