16.DolphinsJimmy WilliamsDBVirginia Tech16thSAME11th / 22nd Nick Saban has shown a willingness to take a chance on inconsistent athletes in the past with Ricky Williams and Manuel Wright. Williams wasn't as dominant at his pro day as expected and struggles with consistency, but is the draft's most gifted cornerback. Some might feel the Dolphins have addressed the need for corners with the recent free agent additions of Will Allen and Andre Goodman, but depth is unreliable.

I don't object to us taking a CB, but I'm really not big on Williams. His mental issues worry me, and I doubt they can be coached out of him. Also, he is not the most gifted CB in the draft, that would be Cromartie.

I like how they said for the Saints, "Leinart is perceived by most scouts to be the most valuable commodity remaining on the board." Remaining on the board?? They have the No. 2 pick, not the 20th.

If we go CB in the draft I would like Cromartie, maybe not at 16 but maybe if we trade down a few spots. Other guys I would like to see the Dolphins pick are Manny Lawson or Jason Allen.

jimmy williams is a beast..he played on a great defense which in part was because of him...he was suppose to be drafted 5th or 6th and if he slides to us may be the biggest steal in the draft..guys a warrior and a great DB..
Heres my top 5 players who i want that should be at # 16
1. Jimmy Williams
2. Winston Justice
3. Tye Hill
4. Chad Jackson
5. Chad Greenway

More than likely most of those players will be available at our pick so i'm excited about getting one of those players

Williams may have been that well thought of a while ago, but not any more. His combine interviews revealed a personality that was lazy, arrogant, and emotionally unstable. Those aren't the kind of attributes that improve with a multimillion dollar signing bonus. He had a subpar senior year and a mediocre combine performance. He'll fall to the late 1st round. He's nowhere near a steal at 16. If anything it be a reach.

Unfortunately three maybe four of those guys probably won't be there when we pick.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Williams at #16.

All good picks. Throw Whitner in there too as a safer pick. I don't want Williams at all. There is a ton of corners this year and to pick one that has alot of question marks I don't think would be a good move.

The funny thing is when watching highlight films of Mario Williams and NC State, #91 stands out more than #9.

When I first saw any footage of NC State I assumed #91 was Williams because he was the guy causing the most damage.

Tye Hill, Greenway, Williams should definatly be there. Justice and Jackson should be there.

and.... you can throw on NICK MANGOLD on that pile also!

this is the ONLY o-lineman i would pic in the first [who would
actually be there], and one of the only two i would really want,
the other being marcus mcneil, the lt from auburn.

i think he will be the biggest o-line supprise of the draft.

i agree mangold is a beast

If Jimmy Williams is there at 16....We'd better pick him.

Smoke in the NFL Draft goes both ways. Some teams with the 32nd pick might start something negative about a guy so that they will fall to them. Im not saying thats the case with this guy...but it's possible. They considered Crowder a risk for many reasons as Jimmy Williams....Now look at him. Jimmy can play CB or safety.....PICKEM!
