I just read FOXSPORTS recent NFL rankings and I must be lost. They have us 17th http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5938628 with a summer ranking of 15th. I'll give 'em the summer ranking but man if you admit the system you use to rank the teams is flawed then trash it! Their comments for the Fins:
I should add that I don't think the projection system is fully accounting for the upgrade at quarterback here, and the Dolphins are better than this. Two important issues that people rarely mention when discussing Miami as a playoff contender: excellent special teams (especially the coverage units) and a very easy schedule.
The systen doesn't account for the QB upgrade, are you kidding me! The season is easy; OK lets see, the Steelers, Patsies twice, Chicago, KC, Jags and the Colts. That's 7 of 16 games that are against, uh, pretty good teams... am I missing something!
The only smart statements were our "EXCELLENT SPECIAL TEAMS" and "THE DOLPHINS ARE BETTER THAN THIS"
