Now i dont know how long it takes to work out a tag i imagine its pretty quick, but we are getting down to it on placing tags on players and there are a few guys who are deserving who are still open...does this mean they are close on singing contracts or are they gonna be let loose.

some mentionable names sorry if they have been tagged...

Jordan Gross...Carolina has a quite a decision to make between him and Peppers is our quietness with Carey in hopes that Gross hits the market?

Julius Peppers...again prob could play outside is just a freak athlete and its either him or Gross

Suggs...eh i think Baltimore will mention him tagged sometime soon

Asomougha.....shhhhhhhhhhhhh nobody wake up Al Davis from his nap if he hits the market he would look great in Dolphin colors wouldnt he WOOHOO....one hell of a bidding war will go down for this guy. Could the NFL be so lucky to allow its headlining CB to go to an upbeat team or a contender....please God let him hit the market

if I am missing any or you want to add any feel free....and some explaination about the tagging process would be great as well

I posted a link yesterday, rotoworl is reporting that Gross will be tagged if they can't work out a deal, which would let Peppers loose. I read somewhere else that Suggs was going to get the tag.

i hear the same and i am so intrigued by asomugha it aint funny if he hits open market i would give him what he wants he deserves it

I would love to have him. It would break the bank, but at least it would take Moss and everyone elses #1 reciever out of the equation next season.

Does anybody know when the actual Tag deadline is? Is it midnight eastern tonight?

Be careful what you wish for. If we dont land him we may very well be playing him twice a year:(

Good point dude but i dont think anyone in our division has the money to get him other than us....Pats dont the Jets dont after last off season and he wont want to go to Buffalo they are neither upbeat or contenders

The Pats and Jets are in no situation to go after someone with that kind of price tag, are they? Maybe the Jets, with Favre retiring...

Bills?

even more of a reason for us to get him and like previously stated dont think anyone but buffalo could afford him and who wants to play there

I think the jests are to screwed from last offseason....even with farve and his money gone you figure they have to go after a established Qb this off season and prob overpay to get the best one available....so even if they had enough they need a Qb more then a CB so that puts them right back into the dog house.....

seriously if we got him and Brown i would call it a day and just go to the draft.....

If the Pats move Cassell they will have the cap. Even if they do not, they could restructure and cut players. They do have some heavy talent becoming free agents in 2010. If they did sign him, it means they don't plan on being the same after the 2010 season. This could be a big push to win it all again, while they are so close. Their SB years all had a great corner.

I hope he comes to Miami, if not stay in Oakland...my women is a Raider fan. lol
