With the recent rumors swirling around Steve Francis, I thought I might take a stab at a three way trade. Let me know what you think. Keep in mind, I am a Lakers fan.

Orlando trades:
PG Steve Francis

Orlando gets:
SF Lamar Odom

Houston trades:
SF Tracy McGrady

Houston gets:
PG Steve Francis
PF Stanislov Medvedenko

LA Lakers trade:
SF Lamar Odom
PF Stanislov Medvedenko

LA Lakers get:
SF Tracy McGrady

Why this works for everyone: LA needs a legit second scoring threat to go along with Kobe to help spread the defense. Orlando gets rid of Francis, saves money and gets another young, tall forward to go along with Howard and Darko. Houston gets their "Franchise" back and a top PG along with an expiring contract that helps them in offseason.

My initial reaction to this is that Houston seems to be getting a tad of the low end, so I would think a draft pick from the Lakers would be needed as well, but overall, I think it would be a pretty fair trade that would benfit all parties. that is why it will never happen.

I hope you were kidding.

That will never happen man. There is just no way on Earth we will trade T-Mac to get cry baby back on the team.

Oh, I know it won't happen. I am more or less, fantasy booking right now. Financially, everything is on the up and up, so in theory, this is a trade that can go down...

...I really just don't want these Francis for Odom rumors to be true. I am hoping that a third team is involved somehow. Perhaps for Earl Watson and K-Mart or Reggie Evans or something.

Theres simply no way you give up McGrady like that. Its not even half what hes worth.

It would never happen, but hell, I am a Magic fan... :couch:

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Frontline of Dwight Howard, Darko Milicic (only 20 years old), Grant Hill and Lamar Odom.

Back court of Jameer Nelson, Carlos Arroyo and (we need a SG.)

Well the Lamar Odom trade is a possibility, however Orlando has to add something into the trade, maybe the rights to Fran Vazquez. Why would the Lakers do it? Because instead of playing the 1 spot in the triangle(the other guard basically, not the real point guard), Francis can play the point forward, take his own shots, have the ball, get Kobe open to take the open J. On defense he'd play his traditional role. It improves the Lakers D as well since George will start and is much better on D than Odom is.

That would be brutal. I cant imagine Francis would just coyly except Kobe's antics like Odom does. But the Knicks trade still makes more sense for the Magic if they can get 2 out of 3 rooks (Lee, Robinson, Ariza) + Crawford. If they drafted well that could be a potent and very young lineup.

PG - Nelson
SG - Crawford
SF - Morrison/Gay
PF - Darko
C - Howard

Ariza isn't a rookie. But its par for the course I guess.
