I don't know. I may be wrong here but I think he's a NT prospect. By the way do you like any of our picks today? You've been a bit cranky today hehe.

Bart Isley, of the Daily Record, reports the Miami Dolphins are showing a lot of interest in Texas State DT Fred Evans. Evans, at 6-foot-5 307 pounds, projects mostly as a defensive tackle, but some teams have discussed using him at defensive end in either the 3-4 or goaline alignments. The Miami Dolphins showed a lot of interest in Evans in the days leading up to the NFL Draft, bringing him to Miami to tour their facilities and meet with head coach Nick Saban.

CHICAGO - Texas State defensive tackle Fred Evans was named to the first team while Bobcat punter Cory Elolf was tabbed for the second squad as I-AA.org's Preseason All-America Team was released Thursday.
Evans, who as a second-team selection on The Sports Network's Division I-AA Preseason All-America Team released last week, is coming off a junior season in which he led the Southland Conference with 6.5 quarterback sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss. He was named the SLC's Newcomer of the Year.
The senior from Chicago had 33 tackles--26 solo stops and 14 assists--in his first season at Texas State after transferring from College of Dupage. He also had five quarterback hurries, forced a fumble and broke up a pass during his junior year.
Elolf is coming off a junior season in which he was named to the American Football Coaches Association's Division I-AA Coaches All-America team. He averaged 41.9 yards per punt with 10 of his 54 punts going for 50+ yards. The Converse native is a two-time All-Southland Conference First-Team selection.
Texas State was one of just 19 schools in Division I-AA to have multiple selections on I-AA.org's Preseason All-America Team.
I-AA.org was launched in 2001 as a news service for individuals, organizations and broadcasters seeking information about Division I-AA college football. At its website, I-AA.org presents official I-AA collegiate news from conferences and institutions and provides additional coverage and commentary through aa national staff of columnists and correspondents.
Texas State opens the 2005 season Sept. 3 when the Bobcats play host to Delta State.

Ah end eh? Guess I was off there.

Alright! Texas State! (It's where I go to school) I got to see him live quite a bit but guy has got all the tools and raw skill to develop into a player in the league. My homer-ism aside, I like the pick. Very good value at the pick #.

Ok I guess throw him in the mix with Roth, Wright, and Vickerson. We still need a yound NT to stuff the middle maybee someone with the next pick.
