Fred Russell

It is being reported on Hawkeyereport.com that the Miami Dolphins have signed Fred Russell to an UFA offer. Hope this is true because he would bring some speed to the RB position if he makes the team and would also do great job at returning kicks.

Russell was one of the top 1 or 2 RB that went undrafted. He has great vision and cutback ability. He could make the team--no doubt.

He started to towards the middle of his senior year. Iowa had a lot of injuries his senior year at RB position so they didn't make him do until some guys started to get healthy. Once he did it for a couple of games he did a pretty good job of it. I think he could do well in that role being as he is on the small side but well built and very fast.
