If Smoot is released in Minny you think we should go after? He was a pretty good corner for awhile but didn't seem happy in Minny. He would come much cheaper than other alternatives such as Nate Clements
 
I watch all of the Vikes games as well and trust me - Smoot is terrible! The guy not only gets burned constantly but he gets beat by 5 yards. 3rd and 10 and he will give his guy a 15 yard cushion for some reason. He was so bad that this is the 2nd coach to basically bench him for the 2nd year in a row. 2 different defenses and the same result. This would be a big mistake - the guy is a big mouth on the field and is a bunch of trouble off. He is not an UFA and the Vikes are 30+ mil under the cap. If he had any ability because they need DB's he would be kept. He will be cut because he is WAY overpaid and isn't even worth the 5th DB spot.
 
2nd tier to Clements and Samuel. he should expect 2nd tier money

That is a BIG HELL NO to Smoot. Bring in Harper or Clement, would be better than Smoot.

id love to have smoot he is a great cornor i think we need more O# than D# but we need a guy like smoot he gets it done.

Exactly, and its time the Dolphins go after 1st tier players. Part of the reason the team is where its at today is because they have gone after way too many 2nd tier players, and not enough 1st tier players. That needs to change.

True, he's way overpaid. He's not the shut-down corner that he gets paid to be. He's worth a bag of chips and half a snickers bar.
