In a season where the salary cap is at the highest, there are many bad teams with tons of cash to be pent to get better. Unfortunately, the Dolphins ain't one of them. Now the team could however create cap room by cutting players blah blah blah... First and foremost, I have a feeling the team owner, Mr. Ross is a complete buffoon. I also believe he is fed up with losing and he's on a 3 year plan to try and save the team. Don't be surprised at all if he sells the team in 3yrs. if his plan fails.
Dolphins have three major needs heading into the offseason -guard, secondary, inside linebacker. The two paramount position that need to be fixed are the left guard and the right corner positions. Since trading away Vontae Davis in 2012, the team has had almost ten starters, Finegan, Will davis, Brice MacCain, Jamar Taylor to name a few. The position has become a revolving door for has beens and cast aways. The team has got to find some one who could man that position for at least 3yrs.
On the other hand, the left guard position has become an offensive eye-sore on the team. Since Incognito was kicked off the team for "bullyate" scandal, the team has yet to find a viable solution. They put in a guy that was ranked dead last in the league in two consecutive years. Unbelievable!
No offseason is complete without addressing these two glaring needs. Fortunately for the team there are high quality options on the free agency market that the Dolphins could go after. I Suggest bringing Sean Smith back and Leon Hall and then spend the first and second on linebackers and OG.
What's your plan ?
