We cannot expect more than two players to fill need from the 2015 draft for THIS season. The rest must be filled through developing players and/or FA. Our needs are, in no order, CB, S, LB, DT, WR, and OG assuming we keep Clay.

We have discussed in length the OG solution, and it is in FA.

At WR, I cannot see getting one in FA, and go with out top pick, hopefully White.

At CB, have to go FA. I like Jackson (27) from Houston, Cullimer (27) from SF, and Flowers (29) from SD in that order. Do not see one in the draft.

I will leave DT, S, and LB to others, as I have not had the time to asses FA vs the draft and developing players like Aikens, Tripp, and our young DT's. Which of these positions has the most to offer from this years draft vs FA?

Keep hearing from just about everyone that this is a terrible draft for CBs. I wonder if the staff feels like Michael Thomas is capable of being the new nickel corner? I like Thomas. Smart, energetic, physical player. Not a great athlete, but you don't need that for the nickel, yeah?

are you assuming taylor is gonna be our cb2

If we do the right thing and draft Parker or White at 14 I'll be elated.
Either of those guys would be awesome on the other side of Wallace.

As far as the off season goes, I would do everything in my power to bring in a couple of starting caliber guards, and if Adrian Peterson is available thru trade, we should explore that too.

Yeah, if that injury's going to heal up in time for camp. I actually think Taylor played OK before he busted up his shoulder. To me, it's like Damien Williams. Everyone remembers him for that godawful touchdown drop against the Patriots, but he actually did some good things outside of one memorable bad play.

I like Taylor but, can't count on him at this point, and Grimes is aging. I have to go after one of the three mentioned, who played very well and are young enough to be here for 3-4 years. IF Taylor develops into what I thought he would be, all the better for us.

The one FA DT I do like is Fairley from Detroit. Some question his taking plays off but, he is a big upgrade from what we have, and good run as well as pass. After his injury, hard to say how the bidding will go on him but, would love to have him.

Well like you said were going go have to rely on developing some of these draft picks, there just isin't enough resources to fix it all in the draft and FA. I don't have much confidence in Davis unfortunately. I have a feeling were going to be wishing after the draft and FA is all over that we didn't cover all our needs. We going to need an excellent offseason from Hickey that's for sure.

Depending on team decisions, I can easily see us having as much cap space as last year. IF Hickey does not bank a big chuck of that, he can fill all of our needs. JMO

My 4 cents(I like to be different...lol) I'd try and get a guard, a DT and a corner in free agency. I'd draft a WR at 14 and go LB in round 2 and safety in round 3. I think that's pretty realistic

And you get a penny in change from me. lol. I agree but, believe we need to fill one more need in FA. likely S but, maybe LB.

We could get 4 starters in free agency, just not too pricey but solid staters....but playmakers from the draft. If we did that every year we'd compete every year.

That's my thinking as well. Franklin has to be the priority as a free agent guard. I'm not sure what free agent DT, but we'll see there. For the draft I'd go either DaVante Parker or Kevin White in round 1. I like Perryman or the ILB from UCLA for round 2. Quinton Rollins, the CB from Miami Ohio is an interesting guy who might be there in round 3.
