I looked at the list of Free Agents available and here is my analysis of who I would go after and why. In alphabetical order. I am open to arguements but don't torch me too bad. I am just trying to give everyone a list of who I believe are some of the best available. Hope everyone appreciates the time and effort I put into creating this. It is a lengthy read just to warn u ahead of time.

Full Name: Rodney Bailey
Born: October 14, 1979 Folkston, GA

Height: 6-3
Weight: 235 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: LB
Experience: 5 years
College: Georgia
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:2 Pick:2, Lions

Boss is versatile enough to play inside and outside. He is not outstanding but is one of the top LB's left on the market and is only 28 years old. Only question is whether he is big enought to play in a Parcells D.

Full Name: Darryl Tyger Blackstock
Born: May 30, 1983 Newport News, VA

Height: 6-3
Weight: 244 lbs.
Age: 24
Pos: LB
Experience: 3 years
College: Virginia
Drafted: Year:2005 Round:3 Pick:31, Cardinals

Blackstock is more of an up and coming player at age 24. Should be reasonably priced and started to get it going a little bit last year. Still is a question whether or not he will be a consistent player. May have the size that Parcells covets.

Full Name: Michael Boulware
Born: September 17, 1981 Columbia, SC

Height: 6-3
Weight: 220 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: S
Experience: 4 years
College: Florida State
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:2 Pick:21, Seahawks

Boulware may never amount to anything as a full time saftey but can help out for depth at the position if nothing else and can be a solid ST contributor. Only 26.

Full Name: Christopher Rejean Brown
Born: April 17, 1981 Winfield, IL

Height: 6-3
Weight: 220 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: RB
Experience: 5 years
College: Colorado
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:3 Pick:29, Titans

Brown probably isn't needed if Ricky is here but that is always a big if. Would be a good 1-2 punch with Ronnie. Shouldn't be too expensive. Only 26 and has experience.

Full Name: Milford Brown
Born: August 15, 1980 Montgomery, AL

Height: 6-5
Weight: 330 lbs.
Age: 27
Pos: G
Experience: 6 years
College: Florida State

Milford is a big boy. A Parcells kinda big body. Does have some False Starts now and then but played decent in St.Louis last year. Nothing spectacular. Is still only 27.

Full Name: Elton Gillett Brown
Born: May 22, 1982 Hampton, VA

Height: 6-5
Weight: 332 lbs.
Age: 25
Pos: OG
Experience: 3 years
College: Virginia
Drafted: Year:2005 Round:4 Pick:10, Cardinals

Elton is another Big Boy. More of a Mauler than Milford tho. Same False Start problems but is only 25.

Full Name: Fernando Antoneyo Bryant
Born: March 26, 1977 Albany, GA

Height: 5-11
Weight: 185 lbs.
Age: 30
Pos: CB
Experience: 9 years
College: Alabama

At 30 he should have a few good years left in him. One of the top CB's on the market. Money could be a concern. Injury is also of some concern. I wouldn't mind seeing him opposite Will Allen tho as they would make a decent 1-2 combo.

Full Name: Drew Christopher Carter
Born: September 5, 1981 Solon, OH

Height: 6-3
Weight: 200 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: WR
Experience: 4 years
College: Ohio State
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:5 Pick:31, Panthers

Carter is only 26 and showed flashes last year. Consistency is the main issue but he is a tall receiver with decent blocking ability. He is also a Burner but routes are a little rough. More of a straight line guy.

Full Name: Kevin Louis Carter
Born: September 21, 1973 Miami, FL

Height: 6-6
Weight: 305 lbs.
Age: 34
Pos: DE
Experience: 13 years
College: Florida

This all depends on our goal. If it is to try and win now then I saw bring him back if reasonably priced. If we aren't trying to win now then no because he is 34. But I like this line of Porter - Carter - Ferguson - Holliday - Taylor with Roth - Starks - Rod Wright filling in. Would be a very solid front.

Full Name: Jesse Chatman
Born: September 22, 1979 Houston, TX

Height: 5-8
Weight: 223 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: RB
Experience: 5 years
College: Eastern Washington

Chatman played decent while filling in. Doesn't do much for the ST's tho. That is kind of a concern.

Full Name: Daniel Clark
Born: May 9, 1977 Blue Island, IL

Height: 6-2
Weight: 245 lbs.
Age: 30
Pos: LB
Experience: 8 years
College: Illinois

Clark has the build to play the interior on a Parcells D and he performed pretty well last year in Houston. At 30 he still has a few good years left. Mind you I said good not Great. Never has been great, an average talent with good motor.

Full Name: Rosevelt Colvin
Born: September 5, 1977 Indianapolis, IN

Height: 6-3
Weight: 250 lbs.
Pronounced: ROSE-velt COAL-vin
Age: 30
Pos: LB
Experience: 9 years
College: Purdue

Colvin has been injury proned but we have seen him perform when healthy with the Patsies. At 30 he still has some good years left. Can rush the passer and has the size to play in the 3-4. Is coming off of another injury.

Full Name: Samuel J. Davis
Born: April 8, 1980 Humble, TX

Height: 6-1
Weight: 195 lbs.
Age: 27
Pos: CB
Experience: 5 years
College: Texas A&M
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:1 Pick:30, Chargers

Davis is a former First round pick who has never really realized his potential. Still relatively young at 27. A Nickel or Dime Back if nothing else but would be worth a look.

Full Name: Ron Dayne
Born: March 14, 1978 Berlin, NJ

Height: 5-10
Weight: 245 lbs.
Age: 29
Pos: RB
Experience: 8 years
College: Wisconsin
Drafted: Year:2000 Round:1 Pick:11, Giants

Seems like he is on the list every year. Performed well with the Texans when given the opportunity. Would be a decent fill in for Ronnie to wear down opposing D's. Still is only 29 and probably has another 3-4 average years in him. ST's are not a strength however.

Full Name: Nathaniel Willie Dorsey
Born: September 9, 1983 New Orleans, LA

Height: 6-7
Weight: 335 lbs.
Age: 24
Pos: OT
Experience: 4 years
College: Georgia Tech
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:4 Pick:19, Vikings

Dorsey is a former All-ACC Tackle for whatever that is worth. Has never amounted to anything but has the size that Big Tuna likes. Maybe Sparano can mold him. Would be cheap as a Backup.

Full Name: Michael Allen Doss
Born: March 24, 1981 Canton, OH

Height: 5-10
Weight: 207 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: S
Experience: 5 years
College: Ohio State
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:2 Pick:26, Colts

Doss was on my list last year. Injuries are always the issue but when healthy he is a big hitter with decent coverage skills. I think he would be worth a look at 26 years old.

Full Name: Marques Lamont Douglas
Born: March 5, 1977 Greensboro, NC

Height: 6-2
Weight: 292 lbs.
Pronounced: Mar-KWESS
Age: 30
Pos: DE
Experience: 7 years
College: Howard

Douglas could be a DE in the 3-4 opposite Holliday. He is 30 but should have 3-4 years left in him. Decent motor but not a big time sack threat.

Full Name: Andre Dyson
Born: May 25, 1979 Logan, UT

Height: 5-10
Weight: 183 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: CB
Experience: 7 years
College: Utah
Drafted: Year:2001 Round:2 Pick:29, Titans

The former Titan, Seahawk and Jet has a tendency to get beat. Could be a Nickle or Dime but not sure if he would be an upgrade over what we already have. Is only 28.

Full Name: Glenn Eugene Earl
Born: June 10, 1981 Lisle, IL

Height: 6-1
Weight: 215 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: S
Experience: 4 years
College: Notre Dame
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:4 Pick:26, Texans

Injuries say alot. But at 26 still has potential to be a good player. ST's if nothing else. Might be a reach.

Full Name: Trai Jamar Essex
Born: December 5, 1982 Fort Wayne, IN

Height: 6-4
Weight: 324 lbs.
Age: 25
Pos: OL
Experience: 3 years
College: Northwestern
Drafted: Year:2005 Round:3 Pick:29, Steelers

Essex hasn't played much in Pitt but is a Big Boy who could bring some nasty and is only 25. Can Play Either Tackle or Guard.

Full Name: George Foster
Born: June 9, 1980 Macon, GA

Height: 6-5
Weight: 338 lbs.
Age: 27
Pos: OT
Experience: 5 years
College: Georgia
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:1 Pick:20, Broncos

Foster is a beast but penalties are a concern. At 27 he could have some upside to him and he can have a nasty streak. Could be what we need at RT.

Full Name: Derrick Jabar Gaffney
Born: December 1, 1980 San Antonio, TX

Height: 6-1
Weight: 200 lbs.
Age: 27
Pos: WR
Experience: 6 years
College: Florida
Drafted: Year:2002 Round:2 Pick:1, Texans

If nothing else than to take him from the Patsies. At 27 he played very well at times, but you have to consider the QB throwing the ball and the other WR's on the field. Why wouldn't he be open with Moss, Welker and Watson on the field.

Full Name: Quinn Gray
Born: May 21, 1979 Fort Lauderdale, FL

Height: 6-3
Weight: 246 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: QB
Experience: 4 years
College: Florida A&M

Would have taken Gray over McCown. Enough Said.

Full Name: Eric Denaud Green
Born: March 16, 1982 Pahokee, FL

Height: 5-11
Weight: 194 lbs.
Age: 25
Pos: CB
Experience: 3 years
College: Virginia Tech
Drafted: Year:2005 Round:3 Pick:11, Cardinals

Only 25 but has tendency to give up the big play.

Full Name: DeAndre James Hackett
Born: July 3, 1981 Fontana, CA

Height: 6-2
Weight: 208 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: WR
Experience: 4 years
College: Colorado
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:5 Pick:25, Seahawks

Injuries are the sad story but has WR1 or WR2 Potential. Only 26. Don't know what the market would be though. Worth a look.

Full Name: Jonathan Rex Jr. Hadnot
Born: January 28, 1982 Lufkin, TX

Height: 6-2
Weight: 325 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: C
Experience: 4 years
College: Houston
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:6 Pick:9, Dolphins

Don't know why he hasn't been resigned yet. At 26 he has been a consistent on our line and is versatile enought to play both Guard and Center. You got me but get him signed Tuna.

Full Name: Clark Cromwell Haggans
Born: January 10, 1977 Torrance, CA

Height: 6-4
Weight: 243 lbs.
Pronounced: HAY-guns
Age: 31
Pos: LB
Experience: 8 years
College: Colorado State

Has the Size but is 31. Also Pitt LB's seem to fall off when they change teams which concerns me. Does peek my interest a lil bit tho.

Full Name: Reynaldo Romel Hill
Born: August 28, 1982 Fort Lauderdale, FL

Height: 5-11
Weight: 185 lbs.
Age: 25
Pos: CB
Experience: 3 years
College: Florida
Drafted: Year:2005 Round:7 Pick:4, Titans

I would really like to see us give him a chance. He is 25 but is an above average CB. Gives up the big play now and then but with coaching he could be very good.

Full Name: William James James
Born: June 15, 1979 Uniontown, PA

Height: 6-0
Weight: 200 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: CB
Experience: 7 years
College: Western Illinois
Drafted: Year:2001 Round:3 Pick:16, Giants

Injury is a problem. Used to be lined up opposite Will Allen. Don't know if he is worth it or not.

Full Name: Bryant Andrew Johnson
Born: March 7, 1981 Baltimore, MD

Height: 6-3
Weight: 216 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: WR
Experience: 5 years
College: Penn State
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:1 Pick:17, Cardinals

Don't know if I like him or not. Has the size but has never lived up to his potential. If he doesn't have Boldin or Fitz how does he do? Little too Iffy for me.

Full Name: Julius Andre Jones
Born: August 14, 1981 Big Stone Gap, VA

Height: 5-10
Weight: 211 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: RB
Experience: 4 years
College: Notre Dame
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:2 Pick:11, Cowboys

Parcells drafted him. Change of pace but probably wouldn't be happy. If no one else takes him he would be worth a look.

Full Name: Jevon Kearse
Born: September 3, 1976 Fort Myers, FL

Height: 6-4
Weight: 265 lbs.
Pronounced: juh-VAUGHN CURSE
Age: 31
Pos: DE
Experience: 9 years
College: Florida

So kill me on this one. He has always intrigued me. Put him opposite JT in passing situations and see what he can do. Only problem is then what do we do with Porter? I am just dreaming. LOL. Probably has seen his better days.

Full Name: Byron Antron Leftwich
Born: January 14, 1980 Washington, DC

Height: 6-5
Weight: 250 lbs.
Age: 28
Pos: QB
Experience: 5 years
College: Marshall
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:1 Pick:7, Jaguars

Injury waiting to happen but I like him better than McCown. Enough Said.

Full Name: Daniel Thomas Morgan
Born: December 19, 1978 Coral Springs, FL

Height: 6-2
Weight: 245 lbs.
Age: 29
Pos: LB
Experience: 7 years
College: Miami (FL)
Drafted: Year:2001 Round:1 Pick:11, Panthers

For the Vet Min I would take a flyer on him. Not much more tho.

Full Name: Shane Olivea
Born: October 7, 1981 Cedarhurst, NY

Height: 6-4
Weight: 312 lbs.
Age: 26
Pos: OG
Experience: 4 years
College: Ohio State
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:7 Pick:8, Chargers

Just needs someone to light a fire under him. He was a good RT in SD before last year but lost his fire. Can be a good player. Definitely worth a look.

Full Name: Lonnie Jewel Shelton
Born: March 21, 1976 Rochester Hills, MI

Height: 6-6
Weight: 345 lbs.
Age: 31
Pos: OT
Experience: 9 years
College: Eastern Michigan

I know he isn't coming back but he is still one of the better OL on the market. If not at T then G. He was very dominant as a G when he played there. I am dreaming again. LOL!

Full Name: Jeremiah Trotter
Born: January 20, 1977 Texarkana, TX

Height: 6-1
Weight: 262 lbs.
Age: 31
Pos: LB
Experience: 10 years
College: Stephen F. Austin

Definitely has the size to play the middle in the 3-4. Better days may have passed him by tho. I am intrigued tho. Stout against the run but struggles in coverage.

Full Name: Benjamin LaShaun Troupe
Born: September 1, 1982 Swainsboro, GA

Height: 6-4
Weight: 270 lbs.
Age: 25
Pos: TE
Experience: 4 years
College: Florida
Drafted: Year:2004 Round:2 Pick:8, Titans

Sign him up already. When healthy he can be a very good TE. When healthy that is. Peele is making too much money anyway. He is better than anything that we have at the position and he is only 25.

Full Name: Maurice Carlos Williams
Born: January 26, 1979 Detroit, MI

Height: 6-5
Weight: 315 lbs.
Age: 29
Pos: OT
Experience: 7 years
College: Michigan
Drafted: Year:2001 Round:2 Pick:12, Jaguars

Would be one of my top priorities. At 29 is by far the Best T on the market. Atleast in my opinion. Also has been a mauler on a run first team.

Full Name: Eugene W. Wilson
Born: August 17, 1980 Merrillville, IN

Height: 5-10
Weight: 195 lbs.
Age: 27
Pos: DB
Experience: 5 years
College: Illinois
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:2 Pick:4, Patriots

Another High Priority on my wish list. He is a good cover safety that can also play CB. Also is a hitter and is 27. Sign him up.

Full Name: Floyd Womack
Born: November 15, 1978 Cleveland, MS

Height: 6-4
Weight: 328 lbs.
Age: 29
Pos: OT
Experience: 7 years
College: Mississippi State
Drafted: Year:2001 Round:4 Pick:33, Seahawks

Maybe I just wanted to say PORK CHOP but when healthy he can be good. Problem is he is rarely healthy. Has the build Parcells likes.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE READ. I HAD PICTURES BUT I CAN ONLY HAVE 10 SO I REMOVED THEM ALL.

;)

seriously though, that's quite a list you put together. if you could narrow it down to picking just 5 of those players, which ones would you choose?

Nice post man thanks. Eugene Wilson, Ben Troupe, & Rex getting Rex back would be my choices.

good post. some i agree. some i dont.

was going name by name for a minute on the reply and realize that is a long *** list.

I wonder if, after missing out on Pace, we give Odom a look as a 3-4 OLB.

Interesting list, lots of solid names.

Great list, wow.

Must say if we sign any of these guys it will be a great signing at any price and if other teams sign them then they overpayed the bums. I got my goggles on lol.

Still thanks for putting in all the time and effort.

the one player that caught my eye the most was dan morgan...he can play at a probowl level, only when hes healty...if he would come in cheap, that would be a gamble i would love to see miami take

I went to school with Trai Essex's family. He is a big mofo. I wouldn't mind giving him a shot.

I'd love to pick up eugene wilson.

I'd love to get blackstock too.

Mike Doss is a heavy hitter, but injuries are a concern, and he probably isn't big enough for Parcell's taste. He was a Colt after all- my 5 year old is bigger than some colt defenders.

Sign DJ Hackett asap.

If not Hackett, then Bryant Johnson would be great. Heck, get both!

Why not Lorenzo Neal. 11 straight yrs 1000+ yrd back behind him. Should be 1st ballot IMO. Don't know of any other FB with those #s. Looked to be far from done last year. Broken bones don't bother me as much as ligaments, should heal up fine.

Hopefully, Darryl Blackstock is our next signing along with perhaps Jacob Bell and/or Maurice Williams.

I forgot about Lo Neal! He would do wonders for the ground game. I say go get him.

Nice list...lots of good ones out there:
Bell, Demps, Foster, Troupe, Walker, Bryant Johnson

I think all the big o-linemen are worth taking a look at. I like having those big boys up front. A couple of 6'5 320 pounders would be great.

I think Lorenzo Neal is worth a look too.
