Not a great group for the positions we need and some of those guys (Chandler Jones, JPP, Hightower, Melvin Ingram) will likely get franchised or get too pricey for us.

Here's a few guys I would be interested in.

OG-Brian Winters, Jets. Coming off a rotator cuff injury, but should be ready for start of season.
OG-Larry Warford, Lions.
OG-Kevin Zeitler, Bengals. Both Warford and Zeitler will be more expensive than Winters, but both are better players.

DE-Jabaal Sheard, Patriots. Has rebounded from being left home against San Francisco. Solid pass rusher who also plays the run pretty well.
DE-Alex Okafor, Cardinals. Could be the Andre Branch of 2016.
DE-Devin Taylor, Lions. Was really good in 2015, not so much in 2016. Could be ready for a bounce-back year and would be buying low.

DT-Bennie Logan, Eagles. Missed some time with injuries, but has a history of being good against the run. Mitchell should be released, IMO.

MLB-Kevin Minter, Cardinals. Coming off his best season. Only 26 and could be a two-down backer.
MLB-A.J. Klein, Panthers. Kuechly's backup is solid, nothing more. Could at least be brought in for depth purposes.

As I said, not a great group at our positions of need, but I think we could find some guys who could help us.

We need to bring in some guys but no more injured guys please. We've have enough of that.

Ozzy rules!!

Kenny Stills is pretty much gone! We need to replace him with Marquise Goodwin. He command anything outrageous but Still is going to money on the open market.

No injury prone guys. Ill happily spend for Warford and Zeitler. That means Albert is gone, saves money. Stills being gone too saves money if he goes

this is well thought out...minter can play 2 downs but we need help in the nickel more than anything else and hes undersized for the gap fill in our scheme...winters is a lunch pail grinder type doesn't get to much in space id look to do better...I think Miami will too...the de picks you listed I like...especially okafor...sheards a power rusher wide 9 give him more build up to convert speed to power devin taylor I like as a buy low situational rusher I think hes light in the pants vs the run...

the bennie logan pick I love...this is a good football player...

you give me okafor bennie logan and one of those guards a warford (even though he's not the most fleet of foot for our scheme and as a result Miami may not target) and yeah im happy...winters would have to be more of a fall back option for me

I like klein as a depth signing not starter material but he has limitations if he plays that will really stand out just like the depth we have now

zeitlers gonna be quite pricey he's coming off a year where he graded out very well...I just don't know that he can sustain the price tag the contract is sure to bring...he doesn't have the physical gifts that a yanda, a Zach martin, a osemele, a david decastro do

hey any LB who can stop the run, sign them up. 2 downs or not. you can't play 3 LBs every down. Cunningham should be a good pairing in the Nickel for Kiko. I'm not sure Cunningham falls but that's the dream. In a perfect world you get Corn Eldar as well. Corn Eldar and Cunningham will really shore up our Nickel defense

What are you smoking? Kenny is a good player who belongs here. Coach Gase loves him. Provided Kenny gets a fair and reasonable offer from Miami, he will be back. BTW - My confidence level on this is over 90%.

For the #Jets and G Brian Winters, it's a 4-year extension worth nearly $8M, source said. Got a deal despite ending the year on IR

Can those numbers be correct?

Has to be $8 million per year I'm guessing.

Now it seems high but again its all about the guaranteed money.

Guards aren't cheap. That's why it's critical to be able to draft them in later rounds and develop them, something we haven't been able to do.

I agree that we don't have enough picks in the draft to fully fix our holes, we must get at least 2-3 quality starters in several spots via free agency. We have to do this otherwise we risk creating other holes in other spots we didn't need a year or two ago. We'll see I guess. I'm a lot more optimistic than I have been going into off-season, but we need to keep adding talent to our holes or we will forever be chasing NE.
