....with the players on the current roster they'd replace. I'm not saying sign all these guys or that the players I list to BE replaced by them NEED to be cut, they are just my opinion as to players that could possibly help and IMO be have better chances of making the final roster heading into the season......here we go.....OH, and I wouldn't sign any of these guys for more than vet min. unless otherwise noted.

I love Sage but he'll never get his shot I don't think he's got the brain for the job because he certainly has the arm, so....Tim Couch for 3rd string, it's just 3rd string and maybe Nick likes what he sees from the guy running the scout team.

Cut Donald Lee and Sign Dilger. Lee I think has the same problem as Sage, brain farts. Dilger can at least catch well but his wheels don't move as fast as they used to. Again, minimum contract so if we like the Alex Holmes and Rader guys better, cut him...no biggy.

Seth, Seth, Seth...nothing but terrible reports every single day! Don't cut him yet but bring in a couple more Centers because Wades not ready to start. Besides Saban's cutting practice short for lack of Oline...A guy like good old vet Jerry Fontenot still have value or maybe Dinapoli (sp?) who was with the cowboys. Eric Wilson and Jason Thomas aren't making it out of camp

DT-did Travis Hall finally retire? Actually 2 guys who were formerly employed by us Jermaine Haley and Norman Hand are worth a look. Once again, MINIMUM contract for 1 year...they can't help. cut 'em during camp.

LB-I mentioned it before, I just don't think Corey Jenkins fits Saban's D. and Derek Curry is practice squad at most, Even Ayanbadejo likely won't be with the team so why not look at Anthony Simmons! He's the only guy on this list I'd offer a multi year deal to (but nothing huge) I still haven't figured out why he still hasn't signed somewhere. The cat can play. Maybe it's money. Offer him the MIN. see if he takes it. Same with Barrow. He was cut so if he took the min. he'd still get some money from the Skins because of the way his contract was structured I believe (but could be wrong on that). We don't like them at the end of camp...cut

NOW for the areas I'm a little more serious about.......

CB-If Law thinks he'll get 4 mil a year for 3-4 years, fine..sign with the Jets. 2 guys I'd bring in tomorrow are Bobby Taylor (he's slowed down) and Aaron Beasley. I really would like to see Beasley in here, he's more of a zone guy now who can actually tackle from the CB spot...I'd boot Super (burned) Mario immediately. I think Billy Parker has more skills than Edwards.

S-good start with Schulters, now bring in Ray Buchanon on a 1 yr. he's winding down but can still play either Safety spot.....Deandre Eiland is fodder and Jack Hunt is practice squad.

Once again...other than Couch (who I'd simply like to see us give him a shot provided his shoulder is healed) and Aaron Beasely none of the guys are truly needed but would be current roster upgrades and possibly even in-season upgrades.

just some thoughts..bored this morning.

All the Dolphins need now is a corner. As long as we get a decent corner for a good price im satisfied. I would like to see the Phins bring in Bobby Taylor for a look. But I don't think we would get to sign him either because of the contract numbers these kinds of corners want.

While I'd love for McKinney to pull it out, other than Oklahoma State I root for the A&M guys, I'd like for us to bring in a center. I mentioned Fontenot but Bill Contay is out there. He played for Linehan in Minn last year so at least we know what we get....of course maybe that's why little Billy hasn't been brought in?

Ray Buchanon cannot play either safety spot. He spent one season at safety and he blew.

unless I'm mistaken he had a decent season last year with Oakland. Nothing great but average. Tillman's health scares me as does Bell's. I'm hoping Bell has his 1st heathly season this year so that we can see what he can really do. I don't think he or Tillman have EVER finished a season with an injury. Hopefully this year will be each one's 1st.
:(

I guess we are the New York Yankees with no salary cap to bring everybody down to miami.

I know it was a long post, long winded actually, but you should re-read it.

Especially the the 1st paragraph where it mentions minimum contracts and the fact that they are simply players who IMO would be an upgrade at some roster spots. I at no point mentioned that we should sign all those guys and I apologize if I wrote it in such a way that you took it to mean that.

we do have a cap but the most important is cb and if we need to cut someone at a 3rd or 4th spot on the roster than do so cause IMO our main concern is cb that is where we r hurting the most besides QB but i think we will be ok there this year if feeley dont pan out (which i think he will) we have gus until next year than we can maybe get brees or draft one but as of now cb is my main concern :(

Just my opinion guys, but we need to get away from the idea of bringing in Taylor. I live in the Seattle area, am forced to watch the Seahawks regularly, read the sports pages regularly and see the news every night.

Taylor is done. He does not have it anymore. The Seahawks did not even consider -- not for one second -- bringing him back. Not at any price. Obviously nobody else is interested either.

If the Dolphins bring him in and sign him, I will then know we are in real trouble at CB.

what ever happen to t buck is he still ava or not

he's still out there. I forgot to mention him. Thinking about it now, he might be the best fit to bring in at CB for depth. He's not only familiar with Miami and the facilities but having played for the Pats has the aptitude to play in our new, flex-system type defense. oooh, "flex-system"! that's mine, I coined it.

Dilger retired earlier this week and Simmons is expected to miss most of the year bc he had to have another wrist surgery.

well then...that explains both of those guys. thanks

i don't think we should cut Donald Lee yet. He has dropped some passes, and made some bonehead fumbles, but he has potential i say. Let him play one more season with us.
