I know the specualtion is that we are simply going to bring Delmas back, but if the orgnaization is confident he's going to be healthy to start the season I'd think that would already be done. And if you'd call the ILB free agent market slim pickings, I'm not sure what you'd call the FS market. Is there anybody left out there???? Looks like Stevie Johnson maybe, but isn't his health as much a question mark as anyone? I'm curious what others think we are going to do at the position, and I don't see much chatter about it. Maybe Delmas is on or ahead of schedule medically, and the front office has him waiting until the Clay issue settles to structure his contract, but it's been very quiet in regards to his future outside of speculation. Thoughts? Have I missed any news?

Jalen Mills in the first, maybe? Derron Smith in the 2nd? June 6th cuts?

IMO Delmas is the best option out there. Maybe with your newfound cap space I hear a rumor Byrd is on block

Here is his contract.

I'm just not sure why things have been so quiet on his front. Like I said, it may well be because we are all knotted up with you guys regarding Clay, and Delmas's contract is being postponeded to fit around whatever the landscape is left when that settles.

a lot of times with the injnury worried guys like Moreno and Delmas the noise on them is quieter till later in FA. teams might try to go at them once they really see where their roster stands and where they may need to really fill or fit someone in.... usually one year contracts or such too. it doesnt mean that Miami (or other teams) hasnt spoken to them or anything though either.

Regardless where Delmas ends up, it will be a 1 year deal again.

We want to see him recover to a degree before signing him, at least. I don't even think we plan to. He was always just a stop gap.

I'm a big fan of Michael Thomas taking that starting spot. Good tackler, can cover and is cheap. Safeties and guards can be found outside the 1st so I'd like to see miami go wr or cb in the first.

Reshad Jones, Don Jones, Michael Thomas, Walt Aikens, Jordan Kovacs and a draft pick. That will be our group.

I really like Jaquiski Tartt, but to me he looks more like a strong safety.

Clay Aitkens? I know you meant Walt, but that made me laugh! Trying to imagine Clay playing football.

I want Delmas back though. I like Thomas and I think he can start, but Delmas played well for us. He played with Suh in Detroit and, with them being close, I am sure he would want to be here. Hope they resign him.

That's the second time I did that... The first time I caught it. This time, not so much

I'm not as worried about that position since we play nickel and dime coverage so often. Worst case scenario, Thomas or Aikens starts there and we add another CB in the draft or late in free agency.

Good safeties are hard to find and expensive in free agency. If he is healthy, Delmas is my first choice among the veterans.

We absolutely will draft a DB. If it's a S, then he may start. If it's a CB, Thomas or Aikens starts.

I'm much more worried about the OL and LB positions.
