Freestyle Motocross Rider Jeremy Lusk(24) Dies

It's a real shame. He was quite young.

However, when you do dumb **** ... bad things tend to happen.

Really...Dumb? He was doing a backflip in competition. He does them all the time. A lot of the riders do flips now. It was only a matter of time before someone got seriously hurt or killed. His family must be a wreck! God Bless him and his family. I wouldn't go as far as saying what he was doing was dumb, just doing what he does, which is an extremely tough job... and dangerous!

Ummmmm...

Yeah, I'd call trying to do a backflip on a motorcycle incredibly stupid.

Whether he's done it before or not, does not change the fact that it is an incredibly risky and stupid thing to do. He paid the ultimate price for his choice.

Actually he tried the same stunt and ate it in 2007. He was able to walk away from that one. This time he wasn't so lucky. That said I wouldn't be so quick to pass judgement on a dude doing something he loved to do, no matter the risk, he wasn't hurting anyone else. Even his family supported him because they realized he loved to ride/entertain. I don't understand the people who don't have sympathy for someone who dies just because what they were doing is dangerous.

Jeeezuz! I hope he went quick.

Nope. He survived for 3 days in critical condition, I don't think he felt much if any pain though as he was in a drug induced coma throughout.
