My personal opinion on what needs to happen this upcoming off-season is as follows:

- Get DC 100% Healthy, he isn't the best QB by any means but with our shaky O-Line, his ability to lose a tackle or two definitely won't hurt ((Side Note: I truly don't think Brees would have had as good a year playing for us as he has in New Orleans))

- Either teach our receivers how to catch, or find some that can, with the exception of Wes Welker, following the end of this season, I have little faith in Marty Booker, Chris Chambers and even Randy McMichael. They just don't seem to have the intensity this team needs right now. Or the hands!

- With JT contemplating retirement, and the majority of our Defensive front looking to have about two seasons at best left in them, it's about time we start looking more towards the future. We need some young studs that are hungry for action. Our boys seem too worn down at this point to really make anything worth while happen.

- Release Mare, his FG percentage sucks and he missed more than his fair share of game changers.

- I'm honestly not that concerned about the coaching issue because honestly unless your John Gruden riding the Dungy train your not going to win a SB your first year out, you'll be lucky to break .500 especially after this lackluster season.

- Wayne Huizenga is a great guy and he's loyal to his players, but he's got to stop looking for a quick fix, that's why we've been through as many QB's in previous years, this team needs time and a shot of adrenaline.

- Ronnie Brown is decent, but he's still young and I think we need to look into finding us a power back that can relieve some of the pressure off of his shoulders especially if we keep our O-Line.

- Joey Harrington is a solid back-up, lets not make more of this guy than that.

- As far as the draft goes, we need to get us some solid protection then we can start looking for the QB of the future until then we'll run with DC

Any comments can be directed to the head office of Dolphins Enterprises just ask for Coach FinFrenzy84

-Your right about Brees, he would have sucked here IMO.

-Defensively, we've got more youth in that front seven then anyones giving us credit. Matt Roth, Kevin Vickerson, Fred Evans, Channing Crowder, Rod Wright, heck even manny wright might come back with saban out of town. Now its hard to say who our first round pick is gonna be at this point, but if it's an OLB, then your looking at pretty much our new defense. we'd have yout at all 5 positions, with the only execeptions being JT and Thomas. Obviously they'd be replaced when the time comes.

-Ronnie Brown is better then decent. He would have probably ended up with 1200-1300 yards if not for his injury. I think with the right guy coming into town (Cameron...for example) Ronnie Brown will be a pro bowler.

-Joey Harringtons done with this franchise and possibly the NFL.

glad everyone is finally agreeing with me on harrington.

it was so rediculous when people were actually sititng on this board saying harrington is the answer /harrington is better than DC.

absolutely rediculous

and what do the actual NFL games prove? exactly what i said, he's just like he was in detroit

I am not with you.

I think DC is now what he is. His days of shrugging defendres off are over. It has been a very long time since he has been healthy & good. not a great choice to start fresh with. Too big of a ?

As for JH I feel he had much more pocket awareness that was a big reason for the sack totals diminishing. I think he is a better choice to to have a new coach come in with. but we'll see.

Personally, i'd go with Lemon over the both of them because at least then we can blame it on inexpereince.

I like culpepper, i think culpeppers gonna work his *** off to be healthy for this. He wants this bad.

Brees probably wouldn't have have had near the same success in Miami, but he showed what he is capable of with the right tools. not getting him was a huge miss.

I'm not writing off Chambers and company considering the QB play & offensive scheme this year. It was only last season that he racked up numbers with Frerotte & Linehan.

Saban was a better judge of defensive talent than offensive: Evans showed promise, Roth looks improved, Crowder will be 3rd year, and I don't think Rod Wright's Texas career was a mirage. The D is not as old as everybody seems to think.

Keeping Capers (as DC only) & Houck would be smart.

I agree on the quick fix. Get a GM! (Pay Pioli)

Ronnie & Sammy both averaged over 4 ypc this year.

Joey should = goodbye.

Agree on oline, Nick's second biggest mistake (by a whisker).

I still am not 100% confident in the guy, granted he showed glimpses of "what could be" this season especially against Chicago, he was phenomenal
in that game. But he's still very young, so we'll see what happens next year.

Cleo Lemon isn't the answer to the Dolphins woos either, I think he has potential, but not with this team. We need to run with DC, keep Joey on the payroll, because I truly think he's a good back-up, but definitely not a starter and we take a QB in my opinion in next years draft, we have more pressing issues to contend with before we bring in a fresh guy. You can't build a house without a firm foundation and right now we are in the middle of the freaking sahara. We need an O-Line and someone without butta-fingas!

Oh and I agree on the whole Cameron thing, I think he'd streamline our Offense, but we need to replace a couple of our "tools" first.
