"It's funny, I wasn't really throwing to him," Dolphin quarterback Gus Frerotte said. "I just kind of slipped off my hand and floated that way and he made a great catch."

I like that.

I thought he over threw that pass.

Yeah, it was a much better catch than it was a throw. I do have to admit though, I have been a Feeley supporter for a while now, but Frerotte's play was pretty encouraging. I loved the way that blitzing LB bounch right off Frerotte when he made that long completion to Chambers from our own end zone.

i'd like that in a regular season game...but during preseason i find it disturbing as well.

Why? Now's the time to learn and get better. There will be growing pains. Both sides of the ball are still learning new systems.

Come the regular season, those throws won't be luck like Frerotte said, but the norm.

in a regular season game i will take any touchdown, in a preseason i wouldnt like the TDS to be flukes

last year, every time there was a busted play it came back to haunt us and generally seemed to cost us big, this time a busted play turned into a touchdown...for us. What's not to like?

Good point. And at least he admitted the fluke. Anyway, I am hoping for Feeley because it's better for the team that he improves enough to win the competition, being younger and having a nice arm. That said, I liked Ferrote's awareness. He's obviously more familiar with the offense than Feeley but we knew that. I liked Feeley's throwing arm though. He can throw acurately.

One good thing for Feeley was that he held onto the ball when he got himself "de-cleated" by Urlacher. And he is tough and can throw. Tough to get rid of the ball when the ML comes free, but that would have been nicer. At least he didn't fumble or throw an interception and cost us a TD like we've seen in the past.

Not to mention for once WE GET THE BREAKS! Some of you guys have horrible memories of how our luck was last year.

i think frerotte will be the starter by the time the season comes. Feeley is terrible and he gets scared whenever he is getting rushed and just throws the ball. i get tired of watching him throw the ball at the backs of our offensive lineman. Frerotte is more aware and controls the game better. feeley would have been sacked for a safety easily if he saw that blitz coming in the endzone but frerotte was strong enough to get the guy off of him and complete the deep pass. this shouldnt even be a qb race between the frerotte and feeley it should be frerottes job and he should be playing with the first team to get used to the players.

Hell, I'll take a TD in any form. As long we score, how can you complain?

because its a preseason game where the score doesn't really matter... what matters is evaluating your players... and getting lucky in a preseason game doesn't make me feel confident about him because he happened to get a TD out of it... that wont happen again, and next time its a pick 6...

that fact that he has no accuracy on most of his throws really scared me... i hope he'll improve...

personally, i just like TDs to be TDs as long as we get them idc how they happen, if theyre a fluke, then gods on our side:shelby: :goof:
