Decided to watch the tape again: Here is a pass by pass summary of Frerotte

1ST SERIES
1) From the one, drops back, turns locking on to CC, Briggs runs up the gut, Frerotte stands like statue but somehow Briggs misses him, Frerotte to his credit regroups, pumps and lofts ball 42 yds in air about 7 yds shorter than necessary if he wanted to lead CC who had a step. CC makes fantastic adjustment comes back catches ball and falls forward for another 3 yds.

2) 2nd/13 - Drops back looking down center of field. tries to hit CC crossing over middle 13 yds down field. Overthrows, although it hit CC in hands, wouldve been amazing catch

3) 3/13 - drops back never taking his eyes off CC gets protection but just stands there watching CC run. Eventually a slow evolving pass rush gets to him and he takes a sack

2ND SERIES

1) 1/15 - lateral pass to Boston on left sideline, Boston makes beautiful spin move as he catches the ball, avoids the tackle that would have made it a pass for no gain, and runs down sideline for a 13 yd gain

2) 1/10 fakes sweep handoff to left, rolls right and does something really dumb - hits Donald Lee in the hands, in the flats 1 yd past the line of scrimmage- incomplete

3) 2/10 play action birddogs Boston running a fly pattern on which he is completely covered, medium pass rush, Frerotte heaves it overthrowing by 6 yds a covered Boston. Thankfully pass interference is called. First down at the Chicago 24.

4)2/7 Drpos back turns and hits Lorenzo Diamond in the rough for 3yds who then dekes out 2 Bear defenders and gains a well deserved 5 yds after the catch for a first down

5) 2/11 - Frerotte locks onto Donald Lee and once again inexplicably decides to throw it to him. Big mistake. The pass goes 2yds hits Lee in the hands before hitting the grass. When will Frerotte learn? (Actually to be fair looked like a catch that was stripped out of bounds)

6)3/11 - drops back pressure up the middle. Going backwards he unloads a pass for the middle of the endzone in between three defenders and just misses Diamond who began to stumble as the ball arrived. I actually thought this was Frerotte's best pass. ( Amazing Feeley's and Frerotte's best throws were incompletes)

We kick a field goal

3RD SERIES

1) Frerotte tries to looks off defenders by looking at slant pattern across the middle before dumping it to Morris in the flat for 3 yd gain

2) 3/7 - drops back has forever to throw. the pass rush has steadily declined since Frerotte has come in and is now officialy non existent. Frerotte scanning the field makes the horrendous mistake of going back to our comedy of errors donald lee and actually hits him in the hands again . Amazing!. Lee somehow holds on to the cream puff throw, stands tough as a bear defender bounces off him and runs for 1st down.

3) 2/9 frerotte back, great protection hits boston on come back route for 12 yd gain down the sideline

4) 1/10 hits boston on 3 yd slant that becomes 6 yd gain

5)2/4 hits gilmore on short crossing pattern 6 yds downfield turned into 13 yd gain. great protection from oline

6) 1/10 underthrows gilmore on sideline lateral

7) 2/10 hits evans on dumpoff for 2yd gain

8) 2/10 Frerotte is obviously on drugs because he hits donald " the glue" lee for a 6yd gain

9) hits welker for quick slant 6yds plus two more as welker falls forward

10) throws out of bounds

11) panics with almost no pressure, steps up awkwardly, passes/pushes ball overthrowing his intended receiver and hits happy gilmore in the endzone. Lol gotta love it

ANALYSIS: The two QBs faced different situations. Frerotte faced almost no pressure while he played. He also was almost always looking to go short west coast style. He had his moments but made mistakes too. The deep game is not his strength. He seems to be a west coast style of QB ala fiedler. Feeley on the other hand needs to learn the short passing game alot better. The deep passes arent always going to be there. In short we have a gunslinger in feeley and a safe efficient qb in frerotte

Just thought i would add hillbilly's play by play of feeley for comparison

Ogunleye offsides and sacks Feeley. No play.
very nice pass to Marty Booker coming back to the ball. 20yds in the air. accurate. appears to only have looked to Booker.
Handoff to Gordon
Handoff to Gordon
Shotgun 3rd-7. Very nice pass down the middle to DT who drops the pass. 30yds in the air. Just a hair high, and a slight wobble in the spiral but very easily catchable. Feeley appeared to look only to Thompson...too bad, because Chambers had beaten his man (21) and would have had a TD. Booker had about 5 yards on his guy too.
Phins punt, Chicago drives the field and scores.
Feeley under Center, good protection from the line, pass hits Marty Booker on the move. 20 yds in the air...gain of 16. Again a very well thrown ball. Very good velocity, much tighter spiral. Slight playaction move and Feeley looked for an instant to the center of the field before firing to Booker on the left side. nobody else appeared to be open.
Handoff to Williams
Feeley under Center. Incomplete pass intended for Chambers. bad decision as Chambers appeared to be doubled. Feeley stared a hole through Chambers jersey before throwing. Looked like the WR on the right was open. Might have been Bryan Gilmore.
Shotgun. Corner blitz not picked up and Nathan Vasher comes through untouched. Feeley throws the ball into the Line (looked like it hit Carey)
Phins punt, Bears drive and punt.
Feeley under Center. Decent protection. Short out to Donald Lee. Ball has nice touch. Placed well. Feeley appeared to be staring more to the center of the Field before coming back to Lee.
Handoff to Williams
Shotgun. Swing pass to Ricky Williams in the flat. Nice touch. Feely looked to his WR and/or TE on the right before looking over to Ricky. Well placed ball.
Phins punt, Bears drive and punt.
Feeley under Center. Drops back. Looks only to the right before getting hammered by Urlacher.
Feeley's day is over.
Feeley really didnt do bad. Very accurate throws and he is developing a nice touch on the shorter balls. he still stares down his receiver...especially on the deep ball, but he seems to check off on the shorter stuff. At least he doesnt do it ALL the time now.
Gus played better tonight, but Feeley really doesnt have anything to be ashamed of.

Rofl, you've just written the least objective play by play in the history of football, congratulations.

Look at the way you're play by play is phrased compared to the Feeley one.

touborg the feeley one isnt mine. its hillbillys

Exactly my point. There is also a mountain of quality difference between the two.

Edit: No honestly, did you seriously think such biased phrasing would give your play by play credibility?

well then do a better job yourself. What play's analysis do you disagree with? I have the tape. If there is a play that I described incorrectly point it out.

Touborg - Bias?????? Coming from you?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROFL:rofl3:

Point something out rather than couching your putdowns in generalities - the mark of a weak mind

You didn't describe any plays, you gave your subjective oppinion on plays, that's the big difference. Do you call this a play by play?

You didn't describe the situation, you judged.

What should I have described - the weather, the men in motion? It was a meaningless play. The description was supposed to come across as sarcastic intended not for Frerotte but Lee

How about the play? You did some of them right though.

5)2/4 hits gilmore on short crossing pattern 6 yds downfield turned into 13 yd gain. great protection from oline

6) 1/10 underthrows gilmore on sideline lateral

Oh yea

Definately not intended for Frerotte.

LOL. Dude its not. I saved my venom for Donald Lee on this one. Compare it all the Donald Lee descriptions and you will see a pattern emerge.

Sorry if you missed the sarcasm but none of it was pointed at Frerotte on the Donald Lee descriptions. The crosshairs were on Lee who i would like to get cut

Was'nt my impression you saved venom for players in play by plays?

Regardless, time for this thread to die.

I just think its funny that 2 Feeley huggers had to post play by plays for both QBs, as to give their opinion on why they think AJ is great credibility
