this guy is going to ruin my night... i cant believe that he proposes giving ricky more $$

That's great considering that there's not a veteran free agent QB that's any better than him.

I was in shock!! I can see some of the fans wanting Ricky around and not be traded but to give him more $$$??? WTF, rather see Frerotte get it than Ricky. Would be well spent to get a decent corner!

Nah. Ricky played great for Miami last season. Forgive him, and move on. He deserves a small increase. The bare minimum is just unfair for someone with his talent. Remember now, I said "small increase".

Exactly. I think Ricky deserves some more money. It's not like we're going to give him $5 mil a year.

Personally I think giving a guy who will still owes the fins 6-7mil a raise is ridiculious. Why give a guy a raise when he owes. Let him play out his contract and then renegotiate.

And giving the cash to Gus isn't exactly the answer either we are already looking at upgrading Qb position. Which tells me Gus may not be here much longer. So why sign him for more money. When he is already slated to make more than what he is worth.

Now maybe putting incentives in contracts if they hit certain things. That I could see.

hopefully for gus its more than games started. how about middle-of-the-pack qb rating? :)
